the huntress stalks the plains
i follow stff in hand
a tip of stone, a tip of iron
a shaft of wood, a tail of hair
who shall it be today?
the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the clacker
watch the head, watch the back
slip beneath, slip beside
gather the meat for the day
the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the rat
watch the teeth, watch the claws
strike quick, strike true
save the fur for the way
the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the trepor
beware the teeth, watch the eyes
dodge the head, strike the back
gather the heart from the chest asplay

the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the tefusang
watch the claws, watch the feet
dodge between, dodge beneath
skin the hide for display

the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the ulbernaut
watch afar, beware its hunt
strike together, strike strong
the claws your skill to convey

:) I like your poem steuben. I know this is going to sound strange but I find it a very mellow read. I get a relaxed impression from it even though it so obviously discribes hunting in planeshift, which is exactly the opposite of relaxing. Meh.... I likes.

the huntress stalks the plains
i persue the grendol
watch the arms, beware the strength
hit long, strike again
leave it to decay
i had thought of it as a cub's rhyme, or maybe a picture book. you know, the kind with the thick cardboard pages.

You should come to The Night of a Thousand Words and share anything else you have written.
Good Job
