I don't think the link is working properly. Usually it would give you a site number but the code they gave me was just a link to their website, so I had to improvise. It's probably wrong. Try this for "out" votes instead: http://www.topgamesites.net/out.php?user=PlaneShift
*Edit- Ah I see how this works now. The button needs to be placed on www.planeshift.it, so it can't work from the forum. :(

By the way: Wikipedia (http://wikipedia.org/) would surely need an update in the different languages :)

Does anyone have a clue if this voting system lets you click the vote over and over and counts it? Also planeshift seems to be moving up quite quickly. Yay! Gooooo Planeshift! (http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3919/cheering3xz.gif) (http://imageshack.us)

By the way: Wikipedia would surely need an update in the different languages Smiley
I made a page about PS on the dutch wikipedia. I just translated all the info on PS's about page.
The page was deleted within minutes wihtout discussion, the reason: it was an advertisment.
I immediately filled in an appeal. The page was pretty objective, why would it be an advertisment and for example the page about World of Warcraft not be and advertisement. ???
I guess that's the downside of wikipedia: one moderator in a bad mood and gone is your article.

It looks like its once per month per IP.

To get accepted, articles often need a little polish before posting. The best way is to link to as many other articles as possible, for instance to Crystal Space, Atomic Blue, Open-Source in general, acticle "MMORPG" or a list of RPGs in the wikipedia (in your language). Also, don't forget to eventually set a category.
This is the PS article in the german WP (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planeshift), which definetaly needs an update, but at least it's there. You can take a look at this article and compare what is missing that qualifies it as article and not as ad.
Edit: Also ask this mod for constructive tips in creating that article. Point out that it isn't a commercial project and therefor it's a bit weird to use the word "advertising" in that context, especially as reason to quick-delete an article.
Edit2: The PS article in the german WP had also a difficult past. AFAIK it was also quick-deleted, then restored, then had a deletion-process because of "insignificance" just because of the beta/pre-alpha/whatever status of it. Now its in and will stay ;)

If you have a dynamic IP, you can try to vote each day, as usually every 24 hours your IP changes..
That's where dynamic IPs are useful.. not that I'm saying cheating is good.. :whistling:

Or just use tor and to the server it seems like it changes every 5-10 minutes ;)

Weird.. I've never seen that (http://www.planeshift.it/helpus_others.html) little section on the mainpage before:

If you want to contribute, simply download the client program and use as login: pancallo@netscape.net, you will start with a big amount of already processed units!
Guess that doesn't need more words 8)
Edit: Just found out that Talad is still on a classic account and that a "planeshift" team with 2 members is existing, but that it is UO guild or something like that >:-/
Maybe I'm just blind and haven't seen a button, but it seems that his acc needs to be reactivated.. will post again when there are news and/or corrections >.>
