Title: Ingame Economy Topic:
Post by: Hoac on January 18, 2003, 02:16:54 pm
Greetings,

first let me say i\'m astounded by what has already been created by this community.

I had some questions about the ingame economy though and I feel that economy is one of the most important things in MMORPG\'s.
What way are there to create income, and how are these paid? Is there a maximal number of coins in the world?
How do resources spawn ( Both monsters and landscape )? What kind of costs do the players have to pay?

As soon as we get these questions straight we can delve deeping into the economy.

Currently known, there are mob-fighting, blacksmithing, mining (both crystals and ores), alchemy and most of the other \"RPG jobs\". Try downloading the game and browse through the small amount of available jobs there. :)

Is there a maximal number of coins in the world?
Most likely not, as it\'s possible to just create a new character, and put money in there. :)

How do resources spawn ( Both monsters and landscape )?
Guess you gotta wait and see. Not sure if this has been decided, but if it has, ask one of the engine guys or something. They should know.

What kind of costs do the players have to pay?
If you\'re thinking of pay2play, None. If you think of ingame costs, there are stuff like House rent (if you have a house, that is) which has to be paid, and of course new items cost trias as well. :)
