Should microsoft wipe firefox and opera out?
If you ask me I will give you a clear NO!

if you go for microsoft (internet explorer) your text should be BLUE
if you go for firefox your text should be orange
if you go for opera your text should be red (like mine :} )

err I use Konqueror so what colour should my text be?

Well the browser which I was the most happy with was Opera. In fact, I will download it again very soon. The only reason I don't have it right now is because of harddrive formating.

what good are statistics? due to poorly designed webpages I'm usually spoofing as IE6 on Win XP a lot of the time just to get pages to display

Do not use IE download opera 9 beta alpha one instead it is much faster trust me
If you watch the review videos you will see that opera is much more beutiful and he also spends more time on explaining operas features than he does on IE's and firefox's simple because it got more features

what nividia meant is that if you use firefox paint your colour orange, if you use opera paint your text red if you use IE paint your text blue

What they're forgetting is that firefox is less vulnerable to attacks, but IE is built inot the operating system so it will always be faster.

Ah, now I understand this game. But firefox's color is yellow to me, not orange :lol:

Ah, now I understand, orange seems yellow because the background is dark.
As you can see I use firefox, but I love Opera. Opera is the most bug free browser and it has lots of features (like mouse gestures!). The reason I use firefox is because Opera used to have this banner. Opera has recently become 100% free, but the damage has already been done, I'm used to firefox.
Maybe I'll try opera again when version 9 becomes final, it's only beta now but already has the best Ajax and CSS support :woot:

Isn't going to happen. Nothing to discuss. Half the features that things offer over firefox are pointless. I mean whats this saved tabs? if you want to keep a tab about... dont close the browser, or maybe im wrong?
I use firefox and sometimes IE. Depends.
Have I mentioned my fleelings on posting in colour? What makes it worse is that colour isnt even spelt right.

im using IE 7 Beta 2, and so far, its better than IE 6.
but i also have opera, and i like both the same.

Anyway at my desktop it firefox, Opera had a blasted banner ( and firefox for linux has mouse gestures aswell btw ) IE wont run on linux and Konqueror is to bugged up for me graphic wise. The only reason i have Opera installed atm is to get sites that wont follow html formatting correctely to work, its a bit less strict as firefox and Konqueror are. Anyway, my vote goes to Firefox ( on linux ofcourse :P )

I perfectly happy with IE 7 Beta 2, its the best. I prefer IE 7 Beta 1 though, suprisingly one of the most stable browsers I have ever used.

btw, rejoice, there are weekly builds of opera available for some time now.
So yeah, my main browser is opera, in times of pain (read webdev) firefox and konqi and in times of troubles elinks.

Actually when I still had windows, I also had mouse gestures, as well as image zoom, you can get a lot more, simply by installing plugins...

I have IE7 Beta, I like the tabs, It's alot like Avante Browser in that way but I also have Firefox, I like it cause of the skins but now I tend to use the IE7 more for the tabs. Wish it was skinnable.

I am an Opera man here :thumbup:
The biggest prob i have with IE is that i can never shut it off :@#\ when i close the browser it keeps running in the background trying to access the net, and using at least 30MB of my ram :@#\ I have blocked all incoming and outgoing traffic of IE with my firewall but it keeps on trying (*&^$#&**%$) its a piece of POO POO.
