Just a suggestion...but since it's sooooooo easy to die through no fault of your own due to holes in the environment and other bugs, why not turn off the Death Realm for now...or at least make it one room and your out?

It's not that easy once you know what to avoid. I haven't fallen to accidental death in a very long time (excluding my idiotic leaps down steep hills, on purpose ;D). The thing is, PlaneShift isn't going to stop developing a certain part of the world just because it inconveniences some people. The DR is not that hard to get out of, and the world is small enough for you to sprint back to your location with ease. I think instead of going -backwards- to remove something, the team should be going -forward- to fix issues.

And anyway, it's supposed to be a pain in the rear to get out :P If you don't like it then don't die :D

You should put something for the little n00bies to be able to get out of DR. I spend quite of few hours trying to get out of there until someone was nice enough to lead me, but I died on the way :( what you could do is are those clues like those newbie mssage
But the best thing to do would be to lighten it up :) hope it will be in the next version

Anyone else notice how Xordan like...summarizes Karyuu's posts (in a way) and puts it into everyday mans english?

I rather like the Death Realm. Once you learn how to get out, it's actually fairly easy. Also, I get the occasional carkass kill there too.

K thought this thread would die after Karyuu's comment but guess I underestimated the alure of the replybutton. Like Karyuu's reply better BTW ;)
Hope the deathrealm becomes much bigger and harder to find your way out of, although I do hope strange suicidal jumps like we have now won't be even more. Just like the idea of a labyrinth :D

I wasn't complaining about it being hard to get out of the DR. It isn't hard. I was commenting on how easy it is to get there through no fault of your own.

In the beginning, I would agree. But I don't think it takes a long time to learn what to watch out for.

Good advice...if not for the fact that my characters have died no less then five times as I logged on by falling through the ground, twice falling through the ground while -standing still- in the middle of a safe area, four times being killed by mobs at a loading screen, and one time just dieing for no apparent reason at all.

See above. :)
"Falling off the world and dieing" should result in a reset back to a valid point, or set spawn, not a trip to the DR. All it would take would be a simple command change.
