Title: Click to move?
Post by: Erelas Haerotirn on June 03, 2006, 08:48:55 am
Hi again!

I use the ctrl+rclick a lot to move around in-game, but sometimes after using it for a while it seems "stuck".  That is, no matter if I have the ctrl key down or not, or which mouse button I use, my character moves to that spot (green target and everything).  This makes it pretty hard to use menus, etc, until I restart the client.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, couldn't find it in a simple search.

Thanks!

~~Erélas

I didn't even know we had click-to-move working o.o;

I loved to use it once, but it became buggy one day, so I never tried again...

With the Windows client, I can not set it to work again. Some people mentioned ways to set it to the middle button, but because I mapped that to "double click", I can't use these setups.

click to move and mouse look are two seperate things

I use click to move often and mouse look.

I had to bind another key for mouse look, and it worked fine.

The problems I have with click to move is some times the terrain isn't level and I click in the distance and end up clicking on top of the hill I'm on.

Trying to move around doors I get the same problem.  I wouldn't even consider it a problem though, cause it is easy to just use the move keys to move around the door.  Click to move is really helpful while chatting.  I bound it once to only mouse two, instead of ctrl mouse 2.  It didn't work so well with talking to npcs, shopping, training, etc.

I never tried binding click to move to mouse 3.  I'm going to log in and try it.

-Update:  No dice, it didn't work

-Double Update - it worked after I restarted the game.  Let me tell you, this is sweet using mouse run like that.  I can now type and run at the same time.
