Title: Having punk buster with the game

How about having anti cheating programs like punk buster installed with the game. I've played games with punk buster and it works most of the time.
Though I don't know if it's free

What cheats could punk buster possibly protect against?

As we go, we can build our own cheat protections, as the team has done with Paladin Jr. There isn't enough need for this at the moment however, if at all. It seems like something more for fully developed games :}

What happened to Paladin Jr?  :o He's alright, isn't he? It... was the jousting exercise wasn't it. I told him to never get back on that horse, but he didn't listen.
