Why does it take so long to download?! I have a Cable Modem and it runs pretty dang fast, yet when I download this it takes 17 hours?! I downloaded X-Code which is 835MB or something insane in under a half an hour and yet I can't get the game to download in under 5 hours, and with the torrent 17! Help?

time for a little bit of education on exactly how the internet works.
you can only download as fast as the server will up load. now that also works with bittorrent. you can only download as fast as people are uploading. and that count in agreggate. given that you are working to download the mac client which has about 400 seeds. well you draw the remaining image here.
but take the time to read the player's guide, the policy section, and generally the other stickies in the forums. especially the ones in the mac forum. because given that the game is _pre-alpha_ you may need assistance in getting the game running.

I understand what you mean, and I knew about all that it's just that the download starts out like any other download, at nice fast speeds around 180-200 Kb a sec approximatly and then it does a dive bomb after 15MB. I was unsure if it had to do with your servers, I know everything else about the internet. Don't worry i'm not that ignorant.

If you're not, then why make this post? Lots of people complained about the downloads and time after time we had to explain stuff, just go to the server status page or search a bit, all answers are there.
