The Downloads (http://www.planeshift.it/download.html) section on the main PlaneShift website offers instructions:

It's not worth downloading the client right now though, as we are going to have a really big update that will be better downloaded from scratch.

k u need to go to http://laanx.fragnetics.com/register/ type in ur email and stuff and log on but u cnat do it now due to server being down to testing new update should be on in a few days. :)

I've downloaded the client thru bit torrent.
I've created a new account, used my own password, then saw the supplied password in my emails.
I've read the installation instructions.
There it says:
Once downloaded, double click the downloaded icon and step through the installer.

Now that's where I have a problem........the only icon I can find in my downloads file just brings me back to bit torrrent.
I am not computer savvy at all.
Please advise me on installing this game.

sounds to me like someone isn't familiar with the use of torrent applications... just a guess :detective:.. but is the file you downloaded a ***.torrent file?

OK thx Anne, now I am on the login page & it says laanx server failed....I have my emailed password.
This is a different noobie question to my last one I know, any suggestions plz ?

or wait another few days after that, and you could use the updater that comes with the game.
