Most users never get thanked whent they do something good for other players;. This is the post where you can thank those players for whatever they did for you. Please don't post your own good deeds - wait for someone else to post them. Remember: every little thing helps!

Oh wow I will be here forever thanking people :-\ and what if I forget someone. :'( So I am going to cheat and thank everyone in planeshift who have put up with my endless questions, roleplayed in my stories or let me roleplay in theirs. Most of my thanks goes to the Protectors guild. Especially Lord Ogu, Lord Eolius, and Lord Heroro. You guys helped create Zorbels in the begining. *Hugs* Also I want to thank myysst who hasn't been around for quite some time, but he helped me quite abit. \\o//

everyone: who sat inside the temple on them chairs and where funny, and who assisted me when i fell through the floor into darkness and off the map into green fuzz.

When I was new, there were a few players who did a lot to help me out and show me the ropes. Orgcand, Karsier, and Hirato probably top the list. And of course I owe a thanks to Amheh and the rest of Deus ex Trucido for helping shape my character. There are others who helped shape my character too, but they didn't mean to help at all if you know what I mean, so I'll leave them unnamed. :D

Thank Fred, and the Mordok Warriors. A long time ago, Fred helped me through the game, even though now I realize he was a newbie himself, at least he showed me the basic concept. And the Mordok Warriors was the first guild I ever joined (it came back a while ago and was disbanded again, but when it was around a long time ago, it was a decent guild) and I had fun thinking that the laanx dungeon was a secret area that wasn't supposed to be released to the public. =P

Oh, and I can't forget the Felines Lair! They're the ones who taught me how to roleplay, and that roleplay even existed. =P I have a lot to owe to them, even though the guild's gone now...or at least everyone quit, since I saw Shooree with the guild label earlier today. I was kicked a few times for my mass dueling habit, but then after I learned about roleplay I stopped that.

Just once I wish all of the oldbies could come back all at once to have some real RP. Dylia, Jinkeen, Rilar, Nythirs (BIG sp, I know), most of the explorers, the oldbie Dark Empire members, Felines Lair, some of the older GM's like Neave (sp?), etc.
A few of them are still around, but it just isn't the same...I miss the feeling of a real RP. People act too much the same as eachother now, and I mean that they just don't seem to have a personality. Evil people laugh too much, good people brag/make things up too much, normal citizens are too plain...I miss the good days where I could go up to Dylia and pull her tail or something, and talk to the Felines Lair about going to the hills and killing some ulbernauts. I mean, back then ulbernauts would take a large group, now in most RP stories you hear "after a long day of hunting ulbernauts, ..." which just gets on my nerves. I almost wish the game was complete, but still had the same "feel" as it did back then. =/

People will always refer to a "back then" and miss it. Heck, I miss a lot of "back then's" myself. But it never means that anything is deteriorating. And a lot of those people may still be around - you could just be missing them. For instance I'd love to catch you in-game sometime but you keep switching characters so I have no idea who you are ;P

Heh. And my character names get changed a lot, too. Ever since I ended Mitaki's character story, I've been using that same character to play out others, just to save me the trouble of powerleveling again. =P

I would like to thank Janner for everything he has done for me. He helps me in every situation I need help in. His guild was also the first I was ever in. I will never forget the great times we had. :thumbup:
I would also like to thank Herah. She has always been by my side helping me out. She is somone I can talk too when I need to. :P
I would like to thank Illori as she helped alot too. :D
Here is another one, Satayne has also helped me in some situations. :)
I am sure I will be adding more people to this list as i think of them. :P
For some of you who may not know I have a few different charecters.
My first charecter was TSSThorn later changed to Bradd. - I have not used this charecter in a while, lets jsut say he is on vecation ;).
My second charecter is Lilie - You will see her alot. Hanging about. Just chatting away and making things fun for people.
Third is Swivles - Alot of people know swivles I think at this time. Swivles has a heart for life. And likes everyone to get along and like everyone to be happy. He is also very determend with his training as he won 3rd place in the Recent minors tournement.

I'd like to thank all the players that I've had the pleasure of talking with or engaged in roleplaying sessions with as either one of my characters. My special thanks go out to Zellgadess and Robinmagus for taking me up in their (shortlived) guild and making me acquainted with the game and of course all the Community of Vaalnor members, just for being them.

Last time I was here (before my two week joke of a break :P ) I wished oldbies would return. But the fact is that most of them are still around. You just have to look for them. The only oldbie DE members, for instance, some of them are still around the Dark Empire forums. Grakrim, Faldrok and them I still see once in a while.
But you made me think.
I'd also like to thank Hevrah, for being just about the coolest and greatest guy to ever play Planeshift and, for all the enki steaks he made me :D
I'd like to thank Rumblebelly, I used to RP a huge prejeduce against dwarves, he was the one that changed that.
I'd like to thank Grono, for being mean to newbs :P and for always being right, even when she was wrong.
I'd like to thank Kada, for never sending me the pic I asked for, for encouraging me in almost anything I did, for running thebbb for so long and for being great.
You won't find any of these people around, atleast not often, but they have all been great to me, helped me through my hard times. Hevrah was pretty much a father for me and Zet at one point. If you ever see any of them, tell them I say hi, and talk to them. Because, God knows (yes I do) that there are no better people than them \o/
I'd also like to thank Zetsumei, for bringing some fun fun to the game. I know, it tested some of my friendships, but all in all, I loved the fun fun.

I think it's just an arrogant statement to make. How can a single person have a good picture of all the RPing happening in planeshift? There was good and bad then and there's good and bad now.

People have been saying that the community is going downhill since the community started out because some were leaving here and there, but it's never been the end of the world, and I feel that a lot of such wishful thinking to return to the past ignores that we could have a just as good present or future.

Could you elucidate?
I mean that this is a complex community with a lot going on at any one time. You can't see everything. I've been involved in a lot of RPs and events that barely any of the "regulars" know about, and I haven't been involved in a lot of the "major" RP events that "everyone" gets "in" on.

Bah. Many have left, but how many others have since joined? If it's just about numbers, then I think PS is ahead. I think that the real issue is that there are certain people who were very visible in the community and they left in a very visible way with a lot of drama, then others after the fact have turned it into some big issue that it isn't. There are issues, but not the issues people tend to take issue with.

Well it was my first day in planeshift today, and I have to say when Zorbels told me this was a friendly community she wasn't joking. Amost everyone I encountered was very helpful and patient. I want to say a few thank you's to those who helped me.
Stellub: :thumbup: a special thank you for going out of your way to show me to the NPC who sells armor and offering to assist me with anything I may need. You were quite helpful.
Tairan: Thank you for teaching me how to /me. This came in handy when I got my butt kicked almost by a clacker. :@#\ I /me kicked it in the butt back once I figured out how to fight.
Failda: Thank you for saving my life.:flowers: If it were not for you I would have jumped into the dungeon. You were very pleasent to speak with and answered many of my questions.

I know that you probably have had alot of headache's and hurdles to cross over but I think you are doing an excellent job. I still support you and your roleplay idea's and I am glad after the threads that have been posted about your guild and idea's that you didn't just give up and quit like many others I have seen go through this. *Bows respectfully* Good luck in your future endeavors.

Yes and no. I've always wanted to create a character like Aradia, but was a bit unsure because I seen the lack of "evil" or general "law breaking" individuals in game. However, when I did come across the Setill character I figured, "Hey, well he's some evil guy. I can be a thief."
Since I'm on the subject I might as well name a few people that I think deserve some recognition. (In no particular order).
Setill - For being the nicest evil guy.
Nilrem - For showing me that Planeshift really DOES have roleplayers and I wasn't fooled by false advertisement.
Drahlian - For liking my story and staging a little roleplay scene related to it.
Gag - Just because he's Gag and such a cool guy.
Xillix - For having so much patience with all of the "n00bs" and being one of the few people that tolerate Aradia's presence and personality. ;D
Additionally, I'd like to thank all of the past, present, and future members of the Thieves of Yliakum. You've all helped me create something truly unique and I hope we stick around for awhile. (Shhh... we've "disbanded" ;))
There's so many more, but my brain isn't big enough to process all the names. I guess I'll just end this here.

That thread s really a wonderfull idea... But it's a double edge sword.. Sooo I hope the peoples I will forget (it's fate) will forgive me.
First and before all :
- Axilum who help me a lot during my first steps ingame. I still have the light armor she gave me.
- Setill & Narita : for being my mentors, they teach me the way of the Dark Side, the way of massacres.. I really enjoy being evil !
- Anfa for giving me... hum this can't be tell on a public forum... Sorry ;)
- Mardun, Vaice, Redic, Essiri, Flameron, Alulean and all other Infidel Slayers. Without you the game should not be has fun as it is !
- Aradia for having such an ugly face that I can mock her each time I see her (<--- that is IC of course ;))
- All my ennemies in game ! I just couldn't play without feelings the blade of an ennemy in my back.
- Proglin for the Tournaments and the excellent RPer !
- And in no particular order : Thyme, Xillix, Gag, Zorbels, Satayne, Ogu, Herah, Herleva, Drahlian and all the other who have nice RP and try hard to make Yliakum a nice place to play !

A special thanks to my Mentor, the Great and honourable Jear. He made me kill my first Glad, and made me keep trying, even after being moved to the DR several times.
And then we have Apis. My guildmaster, for providng me a home and my first fire short sword.
Then, Bodacher, for running his shop for so long and selling me my 2nd fire short sword.
Then I got my bestest of PS friends... Zabrey, Satayne, Ogu, Eolius, Illori, Zorbels, Einnol and Easton. Thanks for giving me a blast time and time again.
The I got my guildmates, for supporting me no matter what.

As I am a total newbie to the RP world, I have only been here less than a week. I have been killed by some snubbed by many, but allso helped by many.
Many thanks go out to "Driputh" who has been patien with me as i find my RP legs and has guided me in finding a direction for my character.

In the begining:

That's the date and time that I found myself gazing at the amazing graphics in what I later learned was Ojaveda... absolutely no clue what to do next, and an Auction from Thromdir message greeting me. Later it seems that a rat was trying to kill me and someone called Makhor somewhat anxiously trying to teach me on the fly, what to do to defeat that rat.
The next player, however, who noticed just how much of a green newbie I was, stayed around and kept returning from time to time to check upon my progress. This player, through his interest, perseverance, guidance and friendship, kindled my enthusiasm for PlaneShift. I have come to regard him as my prime mentor in Yliakum since that first day, so my sincere thanks to you, Zuce.
On my second day I met Kernow, and in time I came to regard him as my second mentor in Yliakum.

I would just like to say a huge thankyou to Gag, Rolf & Rilar who contributed towards my first ever RP with Odessa, I dont feel any RP story Ive done since has ever matched it.

Just wanted to thank Aniroth of Janner's Way for helping a fellow "noob" get unstuck. He stopped what he was doing and even after some miscommunication was willing to help another player. It really made my day, so thanks!

I cannot believe I forgot about The Soulless RP! lol.
Thanks to everyone involved so far in the RP involving Alhana and her many minions, Im really looking fowards to future RP's and the many infections, luring and corruption to come ;D
The characters I wish to especially acknowledge are as follows:
Sangwa: Without you dark soul, I would have never made as many contacts as I have now.
Zorbels: OMG! What can I say... we conspired and fed from each others imagination and had such a blast doing it. Zorbels will never know the life and power she denied herself... such a pity.
Hagarath: Just to mention his name should be enough explanation :devil:. I look forward to future events.
Janner: You aided me in the capture of Embers RP and then made a whole story from it :woot:
Imulanus: He of many faces in the old alliance. What times we had :-X.
Setill: I could have never asked for a more corrupted minion than yourself. You chose your path and I'm glad you never scummed.

Nilaya - always had a welcome may laid out, happily took me into the Explorers
Zim - just... just... "Pudgy fingers!!" xD
Karyuu - Remember how it just started with pulling faces in IRC, although short lived, it was enjoyable madness
Xenia - sharing our ups and downs, like a rollercoaster ride.
XG Guild - so many so friendly, undoubtedly the best group of peopel I've met
Leji - The Champions of Yliakum's first recruit, only playing MB for a day and managing to climb as well as me, a feat worth admiring.
Croconil - Vanderbal's little cousin, I'm so surprised and hapyp to see you're still here!
Vengeance - such a love-to-hate relationship, maybe one day i won't piss you off? :P
acraig - putting up with my constant access changes, nagging for GM edits and fixing up my oh-so huge mistake with The Dragon Council
Talad - to trust blindly a person with GM abilities is admirable in itself, let alone the massive amount of effort you, and your team have put into this project

JosePhoenix - I'd still be unregistered and clueless on irc withotu your great assistance
Gronomist, Phinehas, Tybalt, and many other 'Oldbies' - people to look up to, hate for being elitist and moany but secretly want to be like them :D

Pogopuschel - back being newbie GM's and hoping clicking buttons on the petition manage window wouldn't break the server :D
Cad - all wise and sensible Cad, pretty in pink name tag too!
Noxide - from being an annoying troll to a helpful GM, ya still a nubcake! <3
Seperot - the madness of the Lemon king, the radio and the flame wars :3
Ayshe - always there to give wise words and let you know you need to stand up for yourself
Kiirani - rambling code at me to help yourself think, listening to me whine and helping me enjoy being in PS again
Moogie - though we don't talk anymore, it's all still there, staying up til early mornings talking nonsense, finding new games to play, the fallings out, makings up, telling me I'm an idiot, years of memories cherished.

Hm.. Last time I counted my BL there were over 300 peops - of course a lot of alts but also many people are not on my BL.. so I'm sure I will miss a lot of people.
I like to thank everyone whom I RPed with as Rilar and my alts, who helped me with a lot of things, with personal advices, time and effort.
Then I like to thank everyone on IRC whom I maybe never played with ingame but nevertheless had a lot of fun and who have been helpful in (mostly) all situations.
I like to thank all the GMs for helping me with decisions, with my first steps in the team and making the job not so boring ;)
I like to thank the devs for dedicating so much time and effort creating PS in the first place and now for welcoming me in the team.
In detail I like to thank
- Hokinon, Lindrae, Brokk, Leonor, Ahnissi, Drakken, Eldorik, Rauz and others for the lot of fun I had in the League of Shadows
- Netrhys and Ralas for teaching me the "hardcore" RP way, the days and weeks of fun, new experiences, the ups and downs and friendship
- Sefron for being the biggest enemy Rilar has IC, the experiences I gained through the many tough RP fights I had with him and being a friend OOC
- Alhana/Odessa, Lolitra+Hagarath, Jjairr, Robinmagus, Waylander, Satayne, Gag, Nilrem, Verrliit and many, many others who I have RPed through hell and heaven
- Dylia/Shayla for being a friend, even we don't talk much anymore
- Crystal for the rune shield I never really used.. but still have and still working towards for being able to use it! - for being a friend.
- Kanalal, Thormor and Xillix, Rioth, Proglin, Bodacher, Ganinos, Einnol, Illori and many others for being around when I need them, for helping me with all kinds of stuff, their opinions and providing whatever is needed
- Aderet for being a friend, sticking around and helping in keeping The League in existance!
- Pogopuschel/Uyaem for telling me who invented stuff - YEEH!
- Bora for kicking me to what I study now
- Josephoenix for kicking me from IRC whenever he feels it is necessary and providing me with a lot of stuff
- Keyaz for kicking me to GMship
- Karyuu, Noxide, Syilph, Drey and Frostmorn for being cool and more
- Talad for being a cool guy, running this project as it does and giving me the chance as GM and dev to pay back what PS gave me
- the newbs, spammers and other crazy guys for making my job as GM interesting and providing me with new experiences and insights into human nature (each experience is good in the end ;) )
- and everyone else I forgot to mention just for their mere existance and in many cases for more much more than that :)

Its amazing to see all these people being thanked, and shows what a great community this game has built. I have taken a negative approach towards CB, as in my opinion it will never be as good as the good old days in MB, but I am going to re download and make a special effort just to get back in this brilliant community.

By the gods! Funny, but this is the first time I notice this thread. And, yes, it is a great ideea :) So... here I go too.
How can I start? With who? There are so many people that I would like to thank that, I think a page would not be enough. Besides, should I give names? I would surely forget to write a bunch of them. So, in consequence, I will not use any names but I would like to thank you all for making PS what it is today, and for sticking around to make it even better.

That's funny, I always thought you and Netrhys taught me the "hardcore" RP way XD.
Regardless I'd like to thank you as well, and Netrhys, and Nilaya and Aiselyn and everyone in Explorers and almost everyone in Feline's Lair, and Under the Moon, and Moogie, whose writings were what got me hooked on PS in the first place, and er...probably countless others--everyone who has made PS fun for me, which is far too high a number to count.

Well.. we all taught each other stuff and learned from experiences, I don't think there really was a "teacher" - it just developed as it seemed best.. and the result was that kind of way to RP :)
I think the "hardcore RP" as we have it now, really is a product of common sense, experiences and group dynamics, developed over time to that form.
I recall the first times there actually were RP fights as way to improvise around the limited game mechanics.. it was alienating everyone who saw it ;)
The big fight of Sefron vs Rilar on the plaza.. I can't recall how many people there were watching and interacting with the RP - standing around and commenting, trying to stop the fight, fight against stopping the fight.. I recall the poor guy I distracted so Sefron was able to stab in the back (though I can't recall the name atm :-/ ).
That was one of the most exciting RPs I had and I like to thank everyone who participated in that, although I barely can recall names as I was so focused on Sefron..

Well, I wasn't actually planning on posting here, but I got all teary at seeing my name mentioned twice, and decided to prove that behind all the Phinehas, I'm a little different than people may think. Brace yourselves, the list is a long one.
First off, I'd have to thank my old Ashes guildmates. Tybalt, Dyari, Zeus, Colane, Ionas, Sharp, Kurik, and almost Cyl. They were awesome. Best guild I've ever seen, much less been in. They truly made this world interesting.
Then I'd have to be all soppy and say thanks to Valbrandr and Induane in a big way, just for being good, intelligent guys with the best interests of PS at heart. They're also good friends. In a lesser way I'd have to mention Zan and Lordbug, since they're also in CoV. Jekkar, notice you are not in this list. ;P
Of course, I could go around thanking all the people who originally helped me out, but most of them are no longer players, plus some of them didn't end up being as warm and fuzzy as I had thought. I do, however, want to thank the guys who made PS an interesting place to be before. People like Monketh, Auran, Savion, Annah, etc. etc. All the true "oldbies".
Then there are the guys who are still around, some less than more, but I think most of them are still around or planning on returning. That'd be Sangwa, Karyuu, Under the Moon, the guys from CoV whom I already mentioned, Karyuu, Under the Moon, Under the Moon, Under the Moon, Under the Moon, Karyuu... Uhhh... yeah... :P
As a last note I want to thank all you who've made this forum a fairly interesting place for the last couple months that I've been back but haven't been able to go ingame. Some of you are either newbies or just people I was never close to before. Zorbels, Farren Kutter, Zhai, etc. etc. I hope to be more involved with you all as I get the resources necessary to be able to actually play the game.
