I have read several fourms now about character wipes!!! All i want to know if there will be one and if there is will it be mandatory. If there is then thats is saing i wasted 6 months on budiling my character (Gineave). So will some on please hep me out here :o.

There will be several, some in the near, some in the distant future and well its not mandatory. The goal of the wipes is to balance the game again, since there are new feautures implemented, exploits deleted etc.

I think he was joking :P Don't get too happy. Characters will be wiped alot. It's an alpha. And I doubt any of the devs will bother excluding anyone. That's "unfair" to the other power-levelers.

I spent a year on my character, and I don't consider it a waste. Unless all you do is come into the game and power level. Then yes what a waste indeed. If you really believe your character will be spared, you should really think about that. ::) Because no ones will, and if you have read the wipe threads like you claim, you will know why.

Its no big deal really. Your character is being deleted, jsut like EVERYONE elses. It gives a chance for a fresh start. We are testers after all. If you dont like the wipe, dont play for a few years until the final version is out. :P

A wipe is long overdue in my opinion. Recently created characters are running around with combat skills in the hundreds. Fun to experiment with but not to test this kind of project. Don't get me wrong, I like my characters to develop their skills, but much more important is character immersion. To develop a credible character in an incredible world is a wonderful experience. What do we lose in a total wipe......some time, doing something we have enjoyed. Weapon and item loss is unimportant, the world contains an infinite possible number of Silverweaves, sometime soon we may create our own Iron weapons. The most important thing is the character.Save your description and generate another.[Take some screenshots of your character, target.... enter command /targetinfo .... enter command /screenshot .... copy or move from PS screenshots folder to place of choice]
Some people may not return, at least not right away. Spend some time now playing with and talking to your friends and enemies. The RP opportunities for this event are immense. How to explain the new start: A plague that lays us low, return of the Darkness in force, poisoned by an enemy, an as yet unexplained act of god or gods.This should be seen as a marvellous opportunity to be born again in a new world.

No more threads about the wipe please. There is a thread in the Rules and Announcements section with all the information I can give you.
