Druke sits in his study, contemplating the fate of the order, his weekly reports fail to come in, one by one his servants vanish. Hunched over his desk, he writes one final letter
Avenger, I'm afraid we've failed in our mission, though our days were indeed glorious, our hopes of a complete order of magic have failed, gone with the wind. I am having my last servant burnt he arcane vault and all its collected information, as there is no one left to guard it. Alas i fear this may also be the last fo my days, I can't do this alone and the struggle to survive has left it's mark on me. Wherever you are, good luck to you, and if my messenger fails to deliver this message to its recipiant, let them know that the AO has died, and the tower lay in ruins.
Druke seals the letter with a mixture of blood and wax, and then gives it to the servent who reports the burning had started, he sends the messenger on his way, giving him a few glyphs for the road.
the servant parts
Druke heads to the top of the tower, where he pulls he's old staff, the staff of the brown master, and begins to summon a terrestial tremor
the rest as they say, is history
Well as the topic says, Arcane Order is officially (though it really doesn't need to be announced, as its a given) Dead.
It was a good life, and we had a great communtiy in our days, sorry to see this slip away, als what is Druke without the Arcane Order? So at the same time I am retiring Druke, do I ahve a second alias? who knows... Does it matter, Druke is Dead and the legacy of the AO ends.
Good night Hydlaa, it was most excellent! ;)

Goodnight, Arcane Order..! :{ But take an ember into the dark, so that one day you may start your fire again.

Zan feels a shiver going through his spine and with it some flashes that tell him a great amount of knowledge has been lost tonight. He lowers his head in mourning while crystal energies start flaring up around him, building up to a bright aura of crystal way magic which illuminates the dark abyss of the Death Realm he is standing in.
With a flash the light spreads out and fades and his words with it: "May this realm guard their knowledge well."
-
Darn it... and I was hoping to have an allegence with the order too.
-
And so another guild of old falls. I hope you guys come back one of these days. If not, I will do my best to have the Empire's Arcane Force write down your lore one of these days
-
Too bad, much luck in your further paths.
-
Its sad to see you go Druke, hopefully we cross paths again someday.
-
That is sad news, very sad indeed. :(
Anyways, be sure that many mages (including me) will remember your guild as the mages guild, the best magic guild so far.
-
Well, inactivity is a tough foe to conquer..
I'm still around the shadows however.
-
Wow what a way to top it. Lets see if you start up again.
-
Ah, so time did what I could not? I'm surprised that your pride, Druke, has allowed you to admit what has been evident for some time. Although I do lament the loss of your knowledge, I can't help but feel that perhaps the death of the Arcane Order shall pave the way for my return. Perhaps soon you shall see the true power of someone you have underestimated for so long.
For all my harsh words, I shall mourn you as a respected nemesis. I regret that I have lost the opportunity to match minds with one of the greatest intellects I have known. Farewell.

Dead but not forgotten old friend... Dead but not forgotten.

Eventually messanger returned: changed after a half a year voyage - his face was unshaved for quite a long time; happy that he delivered his letter eventually; tired. He looked up at the abandoned Arcane Tower of the Arcane Order, at the once great place. He knocked the door. And again.
There was no answer.
He sighed and slit the return letter under the main gate, turned around and gone away.
