Title: Bug in the updater?

Hi, when I try to update the game, the updater says:
"Your updater version is newer than the server's. Server is out of date; stopping".

And, after that, if I try to connect to the game, it says:
"Something unexpected happened in PlaneShift: Crystal Blue
Details: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00B8D424"


Any idea? I wanna play...

i am having the SAME exact problem i even made a thread about it plz help when somone can get to it  (that post by talad does no good)

actually the problem has been solved... there is a file that you have to delete to resolve it. i can't remember the exact one but if you search it will turn up the result.

maybe by search for the problem itself
magic phrase is

 updater version is newer

so... what do you want us to delete?

er do you want us to... well when we extract delete the updater file before we do extract it?

Hello, just to make it easier for you lazy people  ;D  I read Talads post above and downloaded the file.  I then extracted it to my PlaneShift Crystal Blue folder in Program files (where I installed PlaneShift too) and overwrote anything it asked me too everything is now up to date.  I didn't re-run the updater after I extracted the files I just ran the game.

PS, I had never played this before so I had nothing in my PlaneShift folder to lose but it looks like everything is on the server anyway.
