Title: Clipping issue - Devs pls help!

Hello,

I have an odd issue with my character where I seem to have a clipping radius about twice the width of my character. Basically this means I can not easily pass through doorways, and it is impossible to go through narrow gaps (like the exit from the mines - wtower). IT seems to only affect areas with corners, or objects (like barrels or crates). Walls appera to be fine. /unstick makes no difference.

Yes, I ran the updater  :whistling:

Is anyone else suffering from this?

I will try a reinstall, patch and update to see if the same thing occurs. If it does, I will try without the update and see what happens.

Edit: I tried reinstall with patch and update, and also with only patch. Issue is still there. It appears to be character specific, and stored serverside. Any ideas?


Edit2: ok, I am out of ideas. I thought it may have been something on my character causing the issues, but still no luck. Any Devs got some helpful tips?


Edit3: As you can see here, my character seems to treat objects as much wider than they really are: image1 (http://www.joffrehorlor.com/matthew/shot01.jpg)

This is as close as I can get to objects (http://www.joffrehorlor.com/matthew/shot02.jpg). As you can imagine, moving between objects is almost impossible.

Other things I have tried to date without solving the issue:

- several clean installs with and without update
- Different PC!! same issue
- different account and characters

/me shrugs and scrtaches her left ear.

Stumped, me.

Hehe, menkis have opposite problems, they can dive into walls.
I think You should add a bug report in bug tracker (http://www.hydlaa.com/bugtracker/). There can be two reasons of that:


And how close can You approach an obstacle with your back ?

Any fenki char should avoid entering the laanx dungeon, as its only doorway exit seems to be impossible to be trespassed by fenkis, with this bug.

I think You should add a bug report in bug tracker (http://www.hydlaa.com/bugtracker/). There can be two reasons of that:

  • wrong mesh size is set in laanx database
  • the defined center of the mesh is not in the geometrical center of the mesh (modeler's error)

And how close can You approach an obstacle with your back ?

yes i have jumped through that wall as a menki it only worked once do if your leaaving the mines it was the laset door way the pillar on the left

oh and i have seen the fenki problem too luck me ;)

Basically the same distance all around the body. 

Any fenki char should avoid entering the laanx dungeon, as its only doorway exit seems to be impossible to be trespassed by fenkis, with this bug.

Yeah, I didnt' even notice the problem until I entered Laanx, then I noticed it was hard to get through doorways and I had to /die to get out.

I have a menki character and he has no problem passing through doorways in either direction in the Laanx Dungeons. As for the barrels in the last room before the exit, he simply jumps up on to them -even over them if he is running and gets the approach angle right.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have explained that I had an older menki character who was created under the 0.3.013 Mac OS X Client, and he is apparently not affected by this problem Siofra is having.

I'm wondering if it is a issue with everyones fenki skin getting changed on them with the new update.  Has any one tried to create new chracters, one of each type of fenki, and see if it's limited to only a certain type?  Or, if all three work, then perhaps it may becuase of the skin getting changed. 

I wouldn't think changing the texture model would do that, but it's worth investigation.

I had tried creating a fenki with the original dark fur and the same issue existed with that character as well. Some nice person has submitted this as a bug as well. Thank you!

i have the same problem with my enki (female)  :thumbdown:
please fix that bug as soons as you can! its very unfair! we have to kill our selfs to get out of the diamond mine under the laanx temple and than we have to run from oja to again back to hydlaa!

One fenki told me when I was GMing that she managed to glitch over the barrels. /die isn't your only choice. You can also send someone else into the mines for you.
