I've been using planeshift for a while now, with varying results. I have a Mac, the PS version of which always seems to have several incredibly annoying bugs. When PS was updated to 0.014, the game could not connect to the server or update and I had to spend hours redownloading the new version (the download link was messed up). Now with the new update, I got the same message about the server not being the correct version. I have 0.015 now, but I can't figure out what's wrong. :@#\ Any ideas?

get version 15b

Yep, run the updater.

The updater tells me that it can't do the update because the "OS is not supported for automatic updating" and that I should "manually download the current version of PlaneShift" from the site. I also tried the Java updater (tends to work better) but it won't run on my computer because I don't have the correct version of Java. :@#\!!! Any ideas?

Ignore the updater warning message, it's a stupidity introduced by some problem windows has.

but i have a mac... and it doesn't work even if i do ignore it... oh well. anyway, i finally found the old updater (updater-old.jar). It took almost 2 hours to update, but when it finished, the game worked as normal. If you need to find updater-old.jar, it's in the how to install Planeshift on a mac thread. that works on all macs below 10.4. for 10.4 and above, i think you can use the normal updater.jar. My question now is, why doesn't the Planeshift team include the updater and updater-old in the download package? Really, you do need it if you have a mac.

Glad it's working well. :) Next update I'm going to do some testing to determine whether or not the "Update zip entries" option is safe to use... I'm crossing my fingers. :)
