It doesn't look good in the screenshots if you ask me, it should look like it is in the render but it doesnt.

Shh shh! The bow I made was very simple. I'm making a kickass bow now.

Renders always look better... I'd like it to look just like it was in the render. Oh well...

Details need to be more exagerated and maybe it needs to be brighter.. I'll see what I can do tomorrow

You have exported it as genmesh, spr3d probably would look differntly (possibly better).
For genmesh instead of <localshadows/> put <noshadows/>, it will make it look better (bright). You may also want to add <autonormals/>, to make surface of the model smooth.

Edit: Try also <lighting>no</lighting>, it may give better result than noshadows.

BTW: 324 triangles for spear is too many IMO. I don't know, if You remember model of my creature, which had similar number of triangles :P

Hi,

Lordbug the creator of mods! \o/ Looks nice, though I agree with Wired_Crawler here, that it can propably be made even cooler with some lighting settings.

Here's without localshadows, and with autonormals*:
He was spying his prey, hidden among the rocks. (http://users.tkk.fi/~vrantapu/PlaneShift/Lordbugs_spear.png)

*You can change these in Blender: localshadows=material-shaders-shadows button; autonormals=editing-mesh-autosmooth button. More convenient than editing each export by hand.

Found a little bug on it: the spear shaft is missing lower end. If it has faces, check that they're facing outwards.

Good work, keep it up! :)

I tried <lighting>no</lighting> but... I probably mispelt it or something so it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion.

Wow! I keep forgetting faces is not the same as triangles!

Cherppow: Oh! Yes, they're facing the wrong way. Fixed now. I'm going to re-export it now!

I love it Lordbug :3 It's nice to see something besides swords for planeshift ;]

Just to remind everyone, this mod is also on PS-MC (see the Downloads forum (http://ps-mc.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=2)). We're hosting the mod files as well :)
If you create a mod, you get free web hosting at http://yourname.ps-mc.com/ and a mention on the PS-MC main page, as well as a fancy car and nude wimmin. Well, at least the first two...

Do you have Winrar? If so, just drag the new files into the rar/zip file.

only winzip and i dunno if that is even working properly ive only ever used to for un zipping and it has worked but not as it should i think. it isnt really a "legal" install i think cos its installed on my dads work comp and this one.

Hi,

If needed, can get evaluetion version from http://www.winzip.com/. Works pretty much like in winrar. If you have winzip assigned to .zip files:

- double click the .zip to open it in winzip
- select and drag wanted files into winzip
- click Add button

If not, open winzip and choose File-Open Archive... and browse the wanted package. Then can drag new files into the .zip. Be sure to copy the new files into the root of the .zip (uncheck 'save full path info'), not into a subdirectory, or PS won't find the files.
