Title: Mining Questions

I wanted to know stuff about mining. When you mine can you actualy dig inward or do you just aquire the minerals? Also what is the point of mining? And last can you mine anywhere you want?

I  just started the game and I'm stuck...

I've got my first quest: get iron ores. Where can I dig? and to dig I need some tool... and to buy tools I need money... and where do I get money? with quests?
 :-\ I'min a round-robin... can you give some clues where to begin from? any rats to kill? any easy thing to loot?

I hear that some townsfolk give out quests that do not require the use of specialist skills or equipment. Try asking around and you may come up with something useful. You can use the earnings from those sorts of quests to get started with more difficult ones, such as mining.

You might get some help from other players too. I sometimes help people out by giving them some sort of 'easy' quest (Like finding people for me and other things)

Again on mining:
- I got a rock pick
- I went to a mining place
- I said "/dig for iron"

but system says "You have no mining knowledge" (or something similar)

Should I "buy" some"mining skill" too? then I should be able to DIG?

You need to have some training in Mining before you can attempt it. If you don't have at least 1 in the Mining skill, look for a trainer (shouldn't be too hard - you bought a pick from him) and get your skill bar maxed out with knowledge :}

yah, the biggest load of BS I ever heard, and it was in-game several times... I got my mining skill maxed with points, and I still can't mine, to make things worse, i've become desperate enough to actually begin training in Mining Related skills.

I think I understand why this is in  :beta: mode still. Oh, one more thing...
Will I get banned for using BS in my writing?  :ban: :offtopic:

No, you won't :P But it's not BS. Are you sure you are at the correct location for a mineral mine?

Um, yeah. The mining works just fine. You do have a few different things that can be mined, and they can all not be mined in the same spot. But I have been mining since I started and have had no problems, just the occasional bad-luck day mining where it took a long time to build ore. It also seems that the amount you can mine changes depending on how many people are mining at the same spot, maybe just my imagination...
