Title: Crash upon character log in
Post by: Pogsy on July 19, 2006, 01:33:36 am
Hello,

The psclient crashes everytime I try to log in on any character. It started today after the server went down. When I logged back in I got a message that my character was corrupted (or something like that, I don't remember exactly) so I just restarted the program and tried again. This time I made it to the log in screen and the welcome message, the blue progress bar was almost full and then I get the message that psclient has unexpectedly quit. Now this happens everytime I try to log on with any character, I tried making a new one as well and it does the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have load all maps turned on?
If so turn it off and then try it again

Hi Earthling,

I did not have load all maps selected. I tried selecting it to see if it would help, it did not. Then I tried again after deselecting it and I still have the same problem. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know of anything else I should try?

Thanks!

Did you try updating? You may have a corrupted file somewhere.

I ran the updater and it didn't change anything.

Try this (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=24579.0).

Edited to add:
Please reply and tell me if that was it.

I was able to get it working again buy only after uninstalling and re-installing the program. Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Zhai had a similar problem and it was fixed by deleting data/options/camera.xml
