You certainly shouldn't have any problems installing PS.

Where have you get your .exe file?
What's its size?

Have you tried rebooting your system and trying to start the installing procedural again?

I think Nilrem is probably right, you should reboot first. It sounds like some parts of PS are stuck in memory, which is why some files won't install.

1- reboot
2- un-install PS
3- install PS 3.015
    Do Not update yet
4- install patch 3.015b
5- update

quarap...

your problem isn't with the patch, but with the installation program.

Those warnings that some files gave you on game installation aren't normal, and should not appear.

Uninstall the game.
Reboot your system.
Install the game again... NO warning messages have to appear stating files are corrupt/damaged.

I found the process to be order sensitive.  I'd still reboot before un-installing to make sure psclient.exe isn't still in memory so it uninstalls correctly.

My suggestion:

1- reboot
2- un-install PS
3- install PS 3.015
    Do Not update yet
4- install patch 3.015b
5- update
