How would I fix this. Seems I go to Update the game after downloading it, it updates normally, then needs to update the updater? After that, it says my version of the game is a newer version than the server, so it will not connect. I attempt to just play from here, and I get this error. I tried accessing it other ways and I get the same thing. Help?

Hiya! We have a stickied thread of Install Instructions (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=24432.0) that you should take a look at. Before you run the game updater, you need to download a patch.
Nilrem made a very thorough but basic list of update steps (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=24618.msg272774#msg272774) as well, if the instructions in the sticky give you trouble.
At this point I would suggest that you uninstall completely (you may have to reboot your machine first), and then follow the posted instructions.

My OS is Microsoft Windows XP professional, System type X-86 based, not sure what else. I updated the game fully like I said before, but it seems it just will not work. Bit torrent doesnt work for me, so I tried mirror 0 and downloaded from mirror 2. I still have the file from Mirror 2 but you know that tool to verify its what it is? I downloaded it and not sure how to run it. Double click makes a dos screen open and close super fast so I cannot see what happened. ANYWAYS, I just want this to work it looks like a brilliant game.
Edited::: Oh ok, didnt see you type that. I will indeeed download the patch and try again. Guess I should UNINSTALL the game first huh? Ill re-post after. Thanks.
