Hello,
other than very bad lagging,, I could not see some players or monsters. I got killed by an invisible monster and then when I "woke up" I looked around and then a msg popped up. It said something like this : "Msg from server : you should not be seeing this". It then shut down my client, so I did an update, and there were none, it then checked for currupt files and said that it would update the client graphics (or something like that), a 2 file 6.x mb zip. t finished and that's it. I hope this helps...
I run linux kernel 2.6.17-3, xorg 7.0, latest ATI driver.

The message appears when your connection to the server is dropped. Usually it is attributed to a wireless net connection, but since the server has been so unstable lately, it's probably the fault of Laanx. Nothing wrong on your end :}

Ok, thanks. I am using an UMTS connection, but It is very stable here and I'm not moving a round. Yes, the server is always cutting me off, and when I run with someone the other person dissapears and comes back (a long flicker), but isn't dissconnected.

Even broadband cable connections are "unreliable" sometimes - so it is probably more related to the network in the server area.
BTW: This question has been asked and answered several times already...

By the way, I changed that message to say you were disconnected instead, so it should make a little more sense for people who see it. (should be in next server rebuild)

Finally! Many thanks, Dave.
Now I fear even more stupid questions... ;)
