This is probably a dumb question but i was just wondering if anyone knows how many unique people play this game?

The average number of players online per day is between 100-160. They're not always the same people, and we don't really have a way of checking how many "active" accounts are around :}

though there are over a quarter million accounts and nearly 40,000 clients out there
