Title: Textures problem, or just normal?
Post by: eppikk on August 12, 2006, 11:36:42 am
Ok so here is what hapens.
From in-game footage from the PS site i saw beautifull graphics, but heres the thing:

My graphics look like crap

I've set the graphics to maximum (Anti-aliasing, multisampling, texture looks, etc..) and i have a radeon 9600XT (its not worth talking about my pc, believe me its above average)   All  up-to-date drivers are instaled and fully function.

I've got a picture here, i croped it using paint, just a example:

look at the houses they look like ''don't have textures''

Is it maibe some kind of incompatibility?

*edit*

Hmmm i think ive fixed it.~

Here is what i did i reset texture downsampling to  1/1

and disabled vertex buffers...

Altough its weird cuz other games suport all of these technologies

it looks like you have texture downsampling on.. change it to 1/1 and it should be as good as new :)

Hi,

Aye, that's what I was thinking too, and judging from the screenshot, the downsampling is working properly. The setup program slider's configured a bit strangely in my opinion, you'd think sliding it to the right would give you best quality, but in here it's the opposite. Also I think it would help to have an interactive info box that gives short description of every option on mouse over.

But in any case seems like eppikk already figured it out.
