I was hoping someone could clarify for me. I have read many posts and I am still a bit fuzzy. Can you set it up to move your character around rather than the keyboard. If so, how do I do that? Please help a lost little newbie.
PS I am really enjoying the game

Hi rhyanon,
Yes, you can assign the move commands to mouse buttons in the options window, keys page. I don't think mouse axis are mappable, but you can use different camera modes (default = m) to compensate for this. Also be sure to clear the mouse buttons previous assignments on the mouse page.

For example I've been using following combinations:
A)
- move forward = right mouse
- tab = toggle mouselook
- "3rd person follow" camera mode
B)
- move forward = right mouse
- * = mouselook
- "Free Rotation" camera mode
- , . = turn
A-version has easier character movement, while B allows more control on the camera view.

To rhyanon:
The A-version is fully mouse driven. You run with right mouse, and turn with mouse-x-axis. But aye, should check what controls fit your taste better. :)

so if you use the mouse button to move does it help with directing? I have a really hard time getting my character going from point a to point b without wandering all over...hehe. I realize that some of that will come with time, but I preferred being completely mouse driven.
I guess I'll just try it and try to answer my own question, because I'm sure I have confused the world with my rambling....
Thank you for responding so quickly!

I made mine a little easy by setting it up like this
Run = Middle mouse button
Mouse look = Right mouse button
So you are mainly using the mouse. :D
