Hallo,
I just recently tried to talk with the NPC. The Problem is, that they don't answer anymore if you tell them something.
I tried to ask Trasok,Harnquist,Finara,Remant and Levros for Quests, but there is no reply. To ask them for quests I tried the phrases "Give me a quest.","Do you have a quest.","Do you have a job." etc.
Well that is all for now.
Thank you for your efforts,
Piere
Please delete this. I just found out, how to talk with the NPC.
Perhaps someone should change the description how NPC work.
(If the documentation is wron it is still a bug ^^)
This new way of talking to them is a bit odd.

Read the stickies & Search, but I guess that's too hard for some people...

Sorry, I am not completely used to this forum.
How is it that an important message about the change of gameplay is found under the topic "General Discusseion" ?
That does not make much sense.
If I did not know at least 5 people in the game, that had the same problem.
I would have never posted this.
But thanks for the quick answer :-)

Just whenever you have an issue, first read the stickies in the Tech help forums, the gameplay forums and the announcements. After that check/search if someone already made a post about the issue, and only after that make a post about it. If you do that, you'll be fine :)

Hi, started off with PS just few days ago and first of all let me say: really really really great!!
and because it's so great i'm quite sad, that after reading the Player Guide, haveing looked
through several threads including the (complete) "what has changed in talking to npcs"-thread
i still can't manage to talk to npcs.
couldn't see anywhere saying "npc's won't be talking for a while" (or is there?) and the mentioned
thread and the Players Guide suggest /say hello there. while targeting an npc will give me a
reaction, but it doesn't... Also tried /say hello <npc's name>.
what am i doing wrong?
thx

1-Select an NPC (click on it, and there will be a red circle around him)
2-Click in the chat window on the "NPC" tab.
3-Type something you want to say, such as "hello".
4-Press the Enter key.
Done, and that should work.
By the way, maybe you should've asked in-game instead of reviving a two months old thread ;)

darn! i always used /say and nothing happened (obvious now...)
thx a lot
