Also note that this is filed as bug 1871 (http://www.hydlaa.com/bugtracker/bug.php?op=show&bugid=1871&pos=0), which can be closed as soon as the update gets in. I actually posted the fix there two weeks ago, but nobody noticed.

Hi. I can see nowhere to download this Zip file. I get the file details but no Download tab. What am I missing? Thanks

This is great- no more bizzarro madness for the Fenkis! Thank you! But...

Call me crazy, but I tried strafing here at home (after I checked with my physician, of course) and it seems that maybe this animation would look better if it ran backwards? With human body mechanics anyway, one shifts their weight onto the foot that is trailing, and extends the other and then shifts over to it. It seems the Fenkis are doing it the other way around- maybe this is easy to change?

*edit* I should test more before I talk! She's fine going to the left, it's that the right strafe could be better if it were flipped, but maybe adding a second animation is tricky.

This bug doesn't seem to have been fixed with the 9-14-06 update, at least not on my Ubuntu install.

A lot of (player-, non-developer-) contributed fixes have not yet been included into the update.

Looks like there are

a) developers who get informed about the existence of a fix,
b) developers which are reliable for the development department and make decisions,
c) developers who manage the updating servers,

and a, b, and c don't communicate enough to let the fix pass from the forums through the department on to the update server.

Here is the new felki strafe fix for the .16 client http://www.filefactory.com/file/9f8e3e/

Follow the same directions for the last client to install this.

That is the old .15b file but i think it has been added to the updater.

i think it wasn't. i updated today and still did the thriller when i strafed... i can't access the file from the link you posted, illori (dunno why). maybe there's an alternative link? thanks.

That's strange, because I updated and it worked. Try updating again.
