Title: Character Race/Guild status in info?
Post by: Valfaran on February 09, 2003, 06:45:42 pm: I think there should be (if profile selections can be altered) a place where you can specify your character\'s race (or undecided) and tell what guild you belong to (if any).

Maybe just alter that to what race you with to play and mark your guild after it. I am by no means a master of admin abilities on boards but it would seem like something that could be done.

So i think it\'s safe to say that they don\'t have the people with the knowledge yet to do this (correct if i\'m wrong).

I have only looked briefly at the burning board code, but most of these PHP based boards are not too hard to mod. Just in case I get a lot of free time (and the code isn\'t crap... they are running an older version....hopefully, it would only take half an hour or so), is there anything else besides race/guild you guys would want? If I get time (and permission) to add it, it will be after the MB release.

I didn\'t know that I recieved a message until I just happened to be spacing out and my gaze happened to fall upon the \"1 messages, 1 unread\" thing. It\'s not exactly the most conspicuous little alert doodah. Maybe if you could make it all bold and red when there\'s unread messages.

It\'s all just PHP and SQL. The code isn\'t very hard to understand (I\'ve flipped through the 1.2 code). It\'s really just a matter of getting around to it.

That said, I don\'t really have an interest in anything beyond adding RP data to the profiles. Requests for other functionality should be directed to the site Para mentioned.

Color scheme, your species, maybe a quote or phrase you want added on, allignment, or whatever you think might reflect your character\'s personality.
