Hello everyone. I'm a new member here, my name's Sylmael Maeglin and I'm a proud member of the Guardians of Power. Let me tell you a tale that happened to us:
"The other day, Flep, Boomer and I had planned to go on tefusang hunting. As we met by Harnquist's shop, we heard a man calling for help. Boomer went to him and asked him what happened. The guy was called Halar, and his daughter had disappeared. He looked very worried and said he was fearing the worst. We asked for more details, and he told us that the last time his daughter, Katharine, had been seen, she was leaving Hydlaa taking the Bronze doors road. So we quickly took the road for the Bronze Doors.
Boomer and Flep did search in the wild, going to the face and the ruins, but I decided to go directly to the Bronze doors, as I didn't knew much of the area and knew a bit better the Bronze Doors region, I thought a Guardian lost is a useless Guardian. After hours of walking and running, I arrived in the Bronze Doors region. I could see them in front of me. I did search a bit the ruined houses near the entrance and found nothing, so I decided to get to the little lake to see if she wasn't around.
Searching around the lake, I saw a silhouette sitting on a big rock. I thought it could be her, but as I approached, I saw it was an Enki, probably a beggar. The Enki saluted me, and I saluted back. His name was Orode. "Are you looking for something ?" did he asked. I told him I was searching for a young girl named Katharine, whose father told us she had disappeared. "Did you see her ?" I asked him. Orode seemed to hesitate: "I could have seen something, but my memory's sometimes a bit defect...". Saying that the beggar opened his paw. I understood that some trias could help is defectuous memory. I opened my purse, to see that unfortunately I hadn't much to offer as I had just been training my theorical knowledge of the sword with Percival. 44 Trias, that's all I had. I gave him all the money, telling him it was all I could offer him. Orode began to spoke: "I've seen a young girl running to the Bronze doors, I think she's entered the tower. It may be the girl you're looking for..." I thanked Orode as I was so happy to find some clues about Katharine. I left him on the rock, and ran into the Bronze doors for the tower.
Arriving at the first tower, I watched in it and discovered a young woman, that looked afraid and that was obviously waiting for something or someone. "I'm looking for Katharine, are you Katharine" I asked. "I am, she answered, but who are you and what do you want ?" I told her about her father that sended us to find her as he had much worries about her safety. As she heard about her father, she began to get angry and cried that she hated him because he wanted to separate her from her true love. She was waiting in the tower for her true love, a man called Salik who was a guard in Hydlaa. I tried to convince her to come with me to her father, but she said she would stay here, waiting for Salik. She was worried because Salik was not there. Understanding that I'd never convince her to follow me, and as she was not my prisoner, but a free person, I told her that I'll go searching for Salik with her. I thought this was at least the best I could do for Halar, watching over his daughter. She agreed and told me she felt Salik near. So we walked a bit, and I suggested to take a look first in the other tower.
When we arrived at the other tower, Salik was there waiting. He looked annoyed when he saw me, and Katharine ran to him full of happiness. "You were waiting for me in the wrong tower" he told to Katharine. That explained why he was not coming. Salik looked at me suspiciously. I explained him I was sent by Halar to find Katharine and that I had to bring her back home. Salink got angry when hearing about Halar. I tried to convince the lovers to follow me and have a good discussion with Halar. Katharine agreed to come with me back to her father only if Salik would come with us, but Salik didn't wanted to. As Katharine was a young girl, I told them that she could regret that choice and never seeing his father. At these words, Katharine cried and said she wanted to see her father. After a moment of discussion, Salik finally agreed. The guy looked nervous and angry, but I thought it was legitime, and at that time I thought it was a proof of Love.
We took the road, and met Orode on the road. "So you found her" he told me. "yes, thanks to you, Mylord." did I reply. At these words, Salik looked at me and said "What are you saying, he has nothing noble, it's just a beggar !" "Even a beggar can have a noble heart." I said. He looked at me as if I was crazy, and we took the road again for Hydlaa. By the time I had sent a groffle's note to Peacer to tell him about these events, and as we arrived on the Plaza, I see my dear friends Guardians waiting for me. They came to me and told me "Go knock on Halar's door, so he will see you're back with his daughter." They came with me, and we went alltogether to Halar's home.
Halar opened his door, Katharine cried when she saw her father. Then came a great discussion between Halar, Katharine and Salik. Katharine explained she was wanting to marry Salik, as Halar told her the guy was a fool. The Guardians took part in the discussion. Mahcho was sitting near Halar, while Sardid stood next to Salik, as Peacer and Boomer were standing next to Halar. The discussion was hot and it was sometimes hard to follow as everybody was talking, trying to find a happy ending to the event. As I was trying to convince Halar, I noticed little by little that some Guardians had some reserves about Salik. The guy was angry, nervous and became more and more aggressive. I observed him, I remember Sardid seemed really suspicious about Salik. Salik began to understand we were discovering the fool he was. he slowly took his distance, Salik turned to him and began to approach, I did the same, and Mahcho stood up and joined us. Salik stepped back once more, then suddenly began to run. Sardid, Mahcho and I ran after him, but he finally escaped, we searched a bit after him, but he seemed to have disappeared. We came back, and Halar met us. He thanked us and paid me for having brought her daughter home.
I've been so happy to live this adventure with my fellow friends ! And how much I've learned ! Hopefully I was not alone and the other Guardians were there to open my eyes as I had been fooled by Salik too. I really thought he loved her, as he only wanted to use her. Don't know what would have happened if I had been alone..."

A good story, Sylmael. I'm quite happy the the event we ran inspired you to write this. And as aa explanation for those that weren't there, this all happened ingame, during an event. I had a blast playing Katharine and I am very glad that others had fun too :) I hope we meet at the next event too ;)
