Awesome pics bro, and awesome guild.

One thing i needed to clear up though, before i mentioned that Running from Oja to Hydlaa and back is Just VERY boring.

I mean, it kills me doing it every day, and that no one would enjoy it.

Then i was told by a GM, that the Explorers would surely love crossing from oja to hydlaa and would look forward to it.

Is this true?

Or have the famous Explorers studied the land from Ojaveda to Hydlaa enough.

I would feel even you guys wouldn't look forward to running that distance everyday.

Am i correct?

More distance = more landscape = more places = more stuff to explore.
At least that is how I see it.

Congratulations for that achievement Dakhanavar ;)

Hydlaa to oja doesn't seem very explorable to me..  I tried going off the road once or twice i think and hit a block almost immediately ;/ Seems to just be a road.. Maybe I need to try in more areas..  That said, it's extremely easy to get LOST... Stupid circles.

Hrm. I got totally distracted by the replying about that that i forgot to say - I like the image at the top ^_^ Awesome.

Bloody hell.. You just had to put my name up with it, didn't you Monk? :P

Anyhow, yes, I'm ready, willing, and able to take on new recruits who want to conquer the impossible! Come give the Explorers (http://www.explorersguild.org) a visit!

P.S. Thank you Syilph! :]

So, essentially, what we're saying here is that Explorers has deteriorated to a guild where being able to climb a tree is considered a necessary and beneficial skill in a mentor? Sad. I long for the days of old.

Or maybe it's just fun? :P

Datruth: I'm the one who told you that Explorers enjoy distance and terrain. I'm also an Explorer. Yes, it's true ;)

:woot: Nice job on the tree climbing Dakhanavar! I tried myself but gave up after endless flying in the air and dieing. *sighs* It is great to see it can be done! Oh and congrates on your guild for being around awhile ..... actually I don't know and would like too, how long have the Explores been in existence?

Oh we know! We have read these comments from returning oldbies time and time again. ::) The new generation in planeshift could never compare to the oldbie's! You guys were way to good at roleplaying and story writing  ..... and the new generation can't possibly compare! [/sarcasm]

Like the highschool football stars that do nothing else but talk about the "glory days" when they were well known for the next 40 years ... sigh*

Well, from what they have all said..the game they played is not the game we are playing now...things have changed..it is a shame they haven't to keep up with the new planeshift world...

See you ingame Zorbels and congrats to Daikan  \\o//
 {is it me or do the Enki seem to be better jumpers than the rest of us???  ;D }

Since you didn't actually open your sarcasm tab, I'm not going to accept what you've said. ;)

I think for me, with this guild at least, it seemed to have more poise before. It was always a good, solid guild with good members. This thread, however, smacks of "Hey, look at me, I managed to get to the top of a tree!"

I think that second screenshot was worth posting just for Dakhanavar's crazy shortcuts.

It seems parkour has made its way into the PS world...

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at Phinehas. Personally, I think you're taking the contents far too literally. A great deal of the Explorers' prestige in the past came from doing things just as this - getting to places not easily reached, far and wide, high and low. We are the 'Explorers' after all, it is our namesake ;)

I've been a member of both PS and XG since June 2003. I have a great knowledge of the world and our community. I've seen many come and go and I've learned quite a lot in my years here, but one thing I've never lost is that itch to get to places others only look at and dream of. Places that would be fun to stand atop and shout to the world. It's that same feeling that brought me to the Explorers all those years ago and I don't see myself letting it go anytime soon.

So to sum it all up, to me personally, yes, climbing that tree was a beneficial accomplishment and necessary skill to myself as an Explorer. I hope many others think the same, as they are the imaginative minds I look for in a recruit.

Well I don't know what others think but i'm pretty impressed, I died jumping off a roof  If it works for you then do it, Phinehas seems to have a penchant for looking down on other peoples guilds, so i'd leave him to it, theless you reply to him the less he'll have to comment on, it's like most people who attention seek.

RayvenD: you know nothing about me. You are essentially criticising my criticism. Don't you feel a little hypocritical?

Dakhanavar: I understand what you mean. Maybe my memory serves me wrong. You know how it is, you always remember the good things. I just seem to remember the Explorers before were a bit more RP-oriented, rather than just posting screenshots of all the strange places they've managed to achieve. I may be wrong, and you can just tell me if I am, no need to flood me with links to threads or something. Also, just to clarify, I'm not saying you shouldn't explore and do what you do, it's more the way you express it to the rest of the community that is what I'm talking about.

Done it a lot of times before. Me, Noxide and Constrabus explored the heights of Ojaveda, during and after the rocket glitch was removed.

EDIT: But if you're recruiting, I'd like to get in this time. I tried out once, but I was rejected since back then I wasn't very good at roleplay (was still working on Mitaki's story). They didn't think I could make two characters completely different, and that I'd act the same as I roleplayed with Mitaki.

Actually I didn't criticise, I told him to leave you to it, just not encourage you. There is no criticism in there.

Essentially you're saying that I just rant on, but my opinion doesn't matter so don't pay any attention to me. Also, you're saying that the only reason I post or comment on things is because I want attention.

But you're right. Those were complements. How did I not see that before?

P.S: Stop dragging me into off topic conversations. I get my bad reputation this way.

I'll leave it at this, you don't have to compliement to not criticise.

And now back to the thread topic, do the explorers ever hold any rp events? I'd be interested to see what sort of ideas they played out in game.
