A new virus is out there soreading through messenger live by sending a message "lol check:P http://www.uglyphotos.net/photo223.PIF (http://INVALID)" to all your contacts which is online.
If you as much as click the link you are infected, if you download it you are more than just infected, the virus will spread fast through your system, you'll have to start it in safe mode and scan your computer for virusses.

If you click the link it starts downloading immediatly. Btw I'm on mac so it can't effect me.

to fix run systemrecreation (or what it's called in english) if that doesn't work... try this
after some time with this stupid virus i have some information to add, it will copy itself to various locations in different names
c:\windows\system32
c\documents and settings\username
c:\program files\browser folder\
c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5\insert lot's of letters and numbers here
alfa.exe
3.exe
xinstall.exe or something
drsmartload1135.exe
sprY
edit: c:\windows\_default.pif
and of course the file you downloaded :P
uninstalling mesenger too...

If you clicked the link, you got a virus. If you clicked the link and selected to download the file, you got a even worse virus.

Not to put down the community here, but I hope that people didn't actually click on that link and used thier brain first. People always need to be wearey of what they are clicking.
Just be glad PS forums isn't set up like WoW's, in which your forum account is also tied directly into your game account, utilizing the same password and other account info. The biggest problem they have right now is accounts getting stolen thanks to people clicking on links through the WoW forums, which then download keyloggers onto thier system.
In short, you should always be weary of what you are clicking on.

the simplest way about it would be to not click until you fully understand what is going on, and even then make sure you have anti virus checks set to go.
in fact, read the title first. it has 'virus' in it, so you're an idiot if you clicked the link in the first place >_>
