I think it's great :] If they do it too often though, the frequency can be adjusted. How often -does- that happen?

apparently they do it more often if you have the inventory window open.
personally I think this would be great for a command string

'idle' ideally is just a shifting of balance on the feet or glancing about, taking a deep breathe... or my favourite... scratching your backside ^_^#

Well i found it funny when i asked the Ynnwn in the inn to stop head butting the bar (i was bar keep). But i just got told off for RPing things that cant be controled

The "sneezing" happens every 10 to 30 seconds. If someone find this annoying, you can download this (http://www.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=256856) file. All the animations stay the same with it, only the "sneezing" is disabled.
Manual:
Go to \planeshift\art\
Open up characters.zip
Go to the fynnwn folder inside the zip file
replace fynnwn.cal3d with the file provided above.
No sneezing anymore ;)

I thought the sneezing was a lot of fun to watch, and probably a mix up of animations. But I examined the cal3d file and used /testanim to see the animations, and the sneezing/headbanging is definately the idle_var animation that will play every 20 secs (hardcoded). So I guess this is what it is supposed to look like. Greeting is different (it looks like they think you are mad). Casting looks beautiful but we never see that animation in game.
Idle variations start after a random time interval, which you can increase as THomPhoenix described. You could also change the animation for one of the others (such as casting). This will only show on your client.

Super cool to see the animation on video. I'm on a mac and can't see any of the new fun stuff :'(
But yeah, I've been described as "head butting", "puking", and "swaying drunk" so far... it took me a while to figure out why X-/

i want a female ynnwn/diaboli/xacha/ylian/nolthrir/lemur/demorian just for the solely purpose of headbanging... and i'll change the speeed and delay of hedbanging to do it with the music also at every beat :P.(if i can)

And there's still something wierd going on in combat, even with the sneeze-y fix. All this bowing and arching.... looks painful... :-\

10 seconds, then crash? ... Hmm, I hope you have a current chat definition. I crashed because mine was read-only (I customized it and didn't want to lose my changes each time I update).
