Q&A about the video:
How did this video come about? :detective:
Well i was really stressed one night and i felt i was overworked. I didn't know any way to really calm down. Usually a trip to the beach or a game of basketball fixes it all up, but it was late at night and i needed a way to release the stress now.
So i decided to make a video. Nothing fancy, nothing long. Just a nice and simple video about how i felt.
I noticed the video was on youtube yesterday, why did you wait till today to show the boards? :detective:

I wanted people to check out youtube as well as glance at my account.
The only way to do so was to give them a reason to, so i gave them incentive to come, basically that if you subscribed to me on youtube, i would release the video to you all first.
It would actually be 1 day before it was officially released here.
I did keep my promise, and so i released it there yesterday about this time and today i release it to the PS forums.
So it seemed like this video wasn't really planned, kind of a surprise? :detective:
Yea basically, most of the footage used was previously shot and saved for a later date, only a few parts were actually filmed that day, such as the sequence of me meeting the two people who are in the knowledge seekers guild.
I also hand made a photoshop picture for the beginning as i always do for my vids, that took about 10 minutes.
So what's the central theme of the video? :detective:
Basically if you look at it critically it's about a person seeing obstacles and overcoming them.
Can you break the scenes down for us? :detective:

The beginning is mostly the confusion of it all, nature, friends, your path(hence the walking), and your reflection on yourself (hence me standing still).
Then i zoom into the statue as a way of showing a calm, a stillness, i made sure i had no one else in the shot, it had to be me and the statue.
The hydlaa temple was showing the impact of reliigion on life.
The fire showing a conflict arising then i moved the camera to the stillness of the tavern, again a calming shot.
The house showed the need to go back home, that nurturing environment, the caring, the love.
The part with the grass is a new part i just noticed near ojaveda and i filmed it because it looked nice and i got a sense of calm from it.
Again the Death Realm glass and the shots that followed, all looked beautiful and were created to calm the viewer.
The part with the torch was added to help the viewer interact with the music.
When i saw the statue near the Arena i was in awe, it was beautiful, calming, and strong all at the same time. It showed the man overcoming stress and yet still keeping his hold on life, i just had to zoom in on it.
The stairs were a visual representation of me overcoming each step and hurtle reaching my destination and the final jump was showing that sometimes we do fall even if we have made much progress.
The scene with the 2 knowledge seekers was unique, to me they seemed like a couple, and imagined the hardship of marriage and the bond that two people felt for one another that overcame all obstacles. So i shot them, asking permission ofcourse.
The only stipulation was that i couldn't make them look stupid lol, which i hope i didn't.
I worked very hard on that scene actually to get it perfect, took me atleast 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes, never checked the time.
Then there is the scene with my guild mates. I loved the family bond between us and again it shows the sacrifice we make for one another, all willing to jump to save the others. And we did all jump, i just went first though lol :lol: :woot:
Yes, i did survive the fall, no they didn't, don't ask me why, i'm not completely sure, maybe it's my enkidukai genes lol.
The lake was another calming element i added. To tell you the truth, the gladiator scene had no meaning, i filmed that a while back because it reminded me of the matrix.
I had to show everyone lol, it looked really funny, consider it the point at which eveyone laughs lol \\o//
Oh, and it wasn't lag, i purposefully slowed down the shot so people could get the matrix feeling.
The gaquir scene was shown for those who had missed it. Alot of people didn't get to see the helmets and such, so i thought i would add it. It also showed the big group of us staring at poor Xordan for like 2 hours lol.
He was bombarded with questions as you can tell from the chat window ;D
Then there is the Duel with Idoru, It represented me becoming a better man, being better than i ever was. Idoru as you know is my Guild Leader and me dueling him was kind of showing the amount of progress i made as a person and how i finally overcame all obstacles.
The climax i guess you could say of all my hard work.
Then it shows him killing me lol, that's to show while i am better than i was, i do need to humble myself and i can't win all the time.
Plus i felt it would be unfair if i didn't show idoru wooping my butt as he does lol :lol:
How long did the whole video take? :detective:
About 5 hours i would say.
20 minutes or so of new video was taken and edited along with some same old recordings.
So i combined some of the new with my saved recordings and i got this.
What ever happened to the Peacer and Skagwort vids? :detective:
The skagwort one based on his story was going to be made untill skagwort said he might be leaving for a long while.
I still need to see if he'll stick around some more and film the vid with me.
If he does, we'll have it ready hopefully by the end of the month.
25% of the Peacer vid has been recorded previously, and Peacer and i will eventually meet again to finish up recording the rest, then it will be finished around october 20th, again depending on when i finish filming.

Yes, the peacer vid will be made exclusively with metal. His favorite type of music by the way.
What would you rate your video? :detective:
Well i'd give it a 8.5 or a 9 out of 10.
It isn't my best vid but i really enjoyed making it and it has a deep central meaning.

Why do you recommend the big 37 meg version, why not just watch it on youtube? :detective:
Well sadly, youtube does convert my videos to their required size specs and format.
This time however my file badly conflicted with their setting and the result is a pretty bad conversion.
I was stunned actually, and if you see the original and compare it, you will be too.
Take my word and download the high quality one, you won't be sorry. :P
