I open planeshift to play and it is super small and i cant even read planeshift. how do i change the size of the screen?

You can change the window size (or use the fullscreen option) within PlaneShift's setup utility.

There's no PKing in this game, so you should be fine :} The only way other players can kill you is if they challenge you and you accept the duel.
