Ok, first off i know this game will run on my comp, i played it a while back and it played perfect.But now i reinstalled the game but when i click the updater in both modes or try to start the game in either mode all i get is a black screen with yellow/orangeish boxlike outliones here and there.Ne-1 else have this problem or had this problem, PLEASE GOD HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

How long ago did you play, and have you made any changes to your system since then?
I would like to see your system specs anyway, if you wouldn't mind - having such information is never "extra." Also check that your graphics card drivers are updated, that you've installed the most recent version of PlaneShift and that you didn't install it over an older version.

my specs:
Win XP SP2
2.1 Ghz Proccesor
512 mb RAM
DX 9.0c
Nvidia GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU
(I am posotive my graphics card is up-to-date)
1024*768 resolution and 32 bit color quality
I played this game about a month or 2 ago

Just a quick bit o' info for you, PS uses OpenGL, not DX. So the version of DX you have shouldn't effect the game.
If it isn't too much trouble, please add your driver version anyways. We do get people that insist that it isn't their driver version, yet when they finally state it, that's what the problem is. So we like to not assume anything. Nothing aginst you personally, it's just how things are.

[ You can find a how-to for posting images in this forum here (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=20453.0). ] Your description first makes me think that something is up with your drivers or card.
