Title: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency

The Imperial Intelligence Agency
"The true beauty is not in the Flame itself,
Nor is it in the Glow, Smoke or Warmth,
It is hidden away
In the Shadows it casts"
The Shadow Force Chant

The Imperial Intelligence Agency's Ranks

      1. The Flame - Leader of the Imperial Intelligence Agency.  His word is law in the Imperial Intelligence Agency. Recruiter

        2. The Glow - Personal assistants and advisors to the Flame. Each one controls a section (Ex. Smokes, Shadows, etc).  Only a Flame can overule them, though it is rare that that happens. Recruiter

          3. The Smoke - Martial arm of the Imperial Intelligence Agency, can only be commanded by the highest
         ranking active member.

4.The Envoys - Diplomatic section of the Imperial Intelligence Agency and the Dark Empire as a whole.

Anybody above this is an Imperialist.  This means they are public, they post on the Dark Empire's
Forums and they can participate openly in Imperial events and happenings.

Below are the actual Shadows, they need not be Imperialists, and only a few are.

          5. Darkness - Senior Shadow/Shade.  Capable of leading teams and advising the Glow.  Responsable for training Shades/Shadows.

        6. Shade - A Shadow that is capable and willing to do special jobs.

      7. Shadow - The back bone of the Imperial Intelligence Agency.

The Imperial Intelligence Agency's Rules

      1. Roleplay, you should always be in character.
1e. If having an OOC conversation, give a roleplay excuse (i.e. sleeping).

        2. Never tell anybody about the Imperial Intelligence Agency.
2e. Does not apply to Glow, Flame, Envoy and Smoke.

          3. Be active, a few times a week is enough
3e. Or tell the Flame why you can/will not be active.

          4. Be respectful to all Imperialists.
4e. Darkness and below must be mindful of the amount of respect, do not give away your allegiance by being overly respectful.

        5. Do not cause conflict, do not flame, be respectful.
5e. Certain missions may contradict this.

      6. Do not kill guilded people and be careful about which unguilded people you kill.
6e. The Smoke are excepted, other exceptions are secret.

The Smoke's Rules
Due to the nature of The Smoke and the nature of The Imperial Intelligence Agency
The Smoke have their own rules

      1. Do not speak unless spoken to.

        2. Guard the Flame and Glows with your life.

          3. Do not succumb to taunting.

        4. Train as often as you can.

      5. Help out other Imperialist if they are in need.

     6. Keep an eye out for the safety of the Shadows/Shades/Darkness.

The Glows

Shadow - In control of going through all the reports and finding connections.  Responsable for pointing Shadows
in the right direction.  Responsable for following leads and advising other Glows or the Flame on what actions to take
concerning certain reports.

Shade - Classified.

Smoke - Responsable for training the Smoke and organizing their policies.

Envoys - In control of diplomacy, all of it.  From recruiting to organizing audiences.  Responsable for training
the Envoys.

The Ties to the Empire
The Imperial Intelligence Agency is it's own guild, here I will just clarify how we tie in with the Dark Empire.

      1. Many of our members will be Imperialists

        2. The guild comes first on any Shadow related things.

          3. Sangwa is my master, not yours.

          4. We will help out the other Imperialist guilds whenever we can.

        5. Only the Imperial Intelligence Agency members who are Imperialists may interact with other Imperialists.

      6. Only the Flame may make a Shadow an Imperialist.

The Disciple System

The Disciple system is put in place due to the nature of the guild.  We can not have just anybody knowing
who our members are.  Therefore, we have a screening process.  The screening process is mostly for the
Flame to decide whether or not you are loyal enough.  Skill is also highly taken into account.

As a Disciple, you have no ties to the guild besides that you may possibly be allowed to join it.  Anybody
can become a Disciple but, once you are accepted, you are in, you can not change your mind without
falling into bad favour with the guild and the Empire.

Any questions you may have about being a Disciple may be asked via PM.  They may not all be answered but,
   they will all get replied.

For Hire

The Imperial Intelligence Agency will offer many services.  Not all of them publicly known.

The prices should be reasonable.  If you find they are too high you can always
give us time to scope out the playing field.  There is a good chance this will
   significantly lower the price.

The prices will be decided by the Flame or whoever he puts in charge.

Nothing more than this will be public.  If you are not sure whether we offer the
service you need or not, then ask the Flame in private.

Conclusion

The IIA is a dark guild, we don't want any goodie two shoes but, on the other hand, we don't want any reckless people.

If you wish to see if you are good enough, then find the Flame, Nurahk Threesouls.  He is usualy by harnquists or in Kada-els.

Another option is going to the forums (http://z3.invisionfree.com/ShadowForce/index.php?) and filling out an application.

((Edit March 11:
-Added Glow Section.
-Added Envoy Rank.
-Modified Smoke Rules.
-Modified Ranks section.
-Removed colouring (Thank God)))

So this is the new Shadows? Very nice!

Only one problem: you spelled "Angency" in the thread title ;)

For the rest:
I really like the atmosphere of the guild, and the separate rules of the Smokes.
Great job Nurahk!  \\o//

Good luck Nurahk.

Btw, I can fix you up a better logo if you want.

Post by: Phinehas on October 27, 2006, 02:06:25 am
Yeah, probably want to get that logo improved...

One of the things that stands out to me about this, is that you've actually implemented a fairly practical way to keep the guild's doings a secret, while still being open for hiring/recruiting. Good job.

Heh, yeah, and a new logo is already in the works.

And hopefully it's pratical Phinehas, I fear that it may not be though.

Another imperial guild rises. The Empire never looked so good.

Hey Nurahk, I gave you a better logo. It wasn't too great, but it was better than that one... I would accept Jekkar's help. ;D

The Empire grows in both quantity and quality.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Nurahk on November 12, 2006, 07:12:28 am
Quality much more than quantity.

The first applicant's have mainly been rejected.

It is an elite guild but I judge acceptance on potential more than anything.  I urge everybody who has ever thought of slipping a dagger into somebodies back, or thought of slowly destroying a persons livelyhood by finding dirt on them to apply now.

(Go to the forums and submit your application, after being submited the applications are moved to another forum.)

Loyalty without Question - Obedience or Death. . Sir!

I think that now you are trusting to much in the capability of the Community of knowing the difference between OOC and IC knowledge...

Also any keen eye may clearly notice a certain group of individuals that suspiciously stays near Nurahk for a too long time.

Unless you are the "James Bond"(Everyone knows about him, but he is still a "secret" agent) types, I suggest to avoid such things.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Nurahk on January 05, 2007, 04:06:49 am
Ecuetas is a Smoke and therefore a public member.

All those who hang around me are also Public members.

For those who are curious it's mainly Garile and Jekkar.

I also have some out of guild apprentices and am testing a new way to go about one of the ranks.  As much as people seem to want to believe, I'm not all talk.  You see what I want you to see Raleigh, remember that.

Those three members should've ordered their uniforms already. That would have made them more visible, so people wouldn't jump into rushed conclusions.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency

Don't see why your complaining Sangwa. You haven't ordered your yet either :P

I'm always wearing mine! It's a combo of spotted fur, green eyes and a cold, calculating mind of plotting doom.
I've learnt something from this though. Maybe I should set the example. The second example, since one of us already ordered. I'll start handing out promotions only to those who have already requested their uniforms. Maybe that'll work.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Parallo on January 08, 2007, 04:05:21 pm
Heh, well keep in mind that most of the Trades uniforms have been sorted internally so promotions there first!

Pffft, you are the one who gave us the work that's keeping us from our orders, Sangwa.

So stop complaining :P

Hey ordering a uniform takes no time. And I'm cool man. Cool.

Anyway, allow me to remind people that the Agency provides intel services for people outside the Empire as well. Contact Nurahk or one of the public members over this forum, or at the Shadow Force's domain (linked in Nurahk's signature.)

Besides myself there is only one other person who is above ghost in the Shadow Force, and that's yet to be confirmed.

But I do have a few promotions lined up for when I return.

 Attention~

The Imperial Intelligence Agency is looking for Good Rper's, Strong stought swords, who are willing to lay their lives on the line to assure the safety of the Flame. Your task as a Smoke, also include assuring the safety of the Shadow's and Shades'. If you believe they do not have the experience to remain safe in their assigned mission, your task is then at that point. To bring it to my attention. As the ranking smoke's officer, it is then my task to bring it the Nurahks attention.

Other tasks assigned to a Smoke are, being the Warriors of the Imperial Intelligence Agency, you will fight where required. And Enforce our laws. Gathering intelligence, that we may know our enemies better. Escorting the Flame Nurahk, to and from secret locations. In the event his life comes into danger, we are the first line of defense and answer the call proudly. Should things play out, at the moment this is by ear, the final say is left to me. We will possibly be multi-guilding with the Steel Force.

We seek out at the moment 2-4 more Smokes. They must be good strong soldiers, and have a love affair with Role Playing. It will not be an easy task to become Smokes, of the Imperial Intelligence Agency, and having gone so far in one months time. I personally will expect awesome actions, inspiring strength, and loyalty to no end.

Although Nurahk has final say, when he gives me permission, if you step to the plate I'm going to ride you. I'm going to break you. And I'm going to remold you. But when you are remolded, you're going to be true Role Players, and the Imperialists We seek. And you'll wear the patch of the Empire with Pride, and dignity, you'll have self respect. And respect of all players. You'll be more then capable to handle your own in a fight, but will also know how to fight as a unit.

Remember, only step up, if you feel you're up to the task. To seek a position in the Smokes ranks, seek out Nurahk or myself

                      Greatest Regards, Ecuetas

Sorry but after this one I can't resist:

"The Imperial Intelligence Agency" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo)

"Uniform

After the Gestapo Imperial Intelligence Agency came under the Waffen-SS command of Nurahk all SD/Gestapo IIA branches were issued with fieldgrey uniform. The wartime grey uniform was worn in office and service duties and in occupied countries Imperial Territory"
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Nurahk on February 02, 2007, 07:01:03 am
Yeah but, it's completely different

We the IIA

"Just want breeding ground".
For all those who seek to oppose us know that we believe "Strength lies not in defence but in attack."
Some say what we do is wrong, and to them I say "Success is the sole earthly judge of right and wrong."

Whereas I'm sure they had completely different reasoning <.<

[Political disclaimer: This is a joke to counter Raleigh's.  All false... mostly.]

hmm well one I don't see how your "joke"is tied t whipping

Two since when are we wearing fieldgreyuniform? And if we were how many armies do you think wear uniforms? Flightatendants wear uniforms, hardly makes them Gestapo.

Comparing people to Nazies isn't the nicest thing to do.

"Strength lies not in defence but in attack."

The need to attack comes only from weakness.

"Strength lies not in defence but in attack."

The need to attack comes only from weakness.

Tell that to Hitler, it's his quote ;)

And anyways, that's enough of that.  I don't want this to turn into a moral debate about whether or not we can joke about nazis.

Oh, I see.  Someone compared you to the nazis and that post was making fun of the comparison.

Hey Neko, I think this thread deserves a bit of a clean up!  Get at it!
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Ecuetas on February 02, 2007, 10:46:44 pm
This was a recruiting thread, not a debate threat on whether we were nazis or not. So enough of that, back to the recruitment, we only need 2 more smokes, so if you wish to join. Nurahk or myself are the ones to seek out, keep in mind I am alot more strict with the soldiers I command. So if you are truly interested in the IIA, you may want to measure your options.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Nurahk on February 03, 2007, 02:36:42 am
Of course, other positions are open, if you do not wish to be a smoke there is still the choice of Shadow and Shade.

Post by: Sangwa on February 04, 2007, 12:12:04 pm
Anyone applying for the Imperial Intelligence Agency is bound to meet with a clean and fast way towards success. We have means to guarantee your skills will be improved and used properly.

For instance the Smoke rank is perfect for fighters with competent insight and effective weapon skill. We require these to be steady at all times and to watchover the success of their fellow agents. Shades and Shadows require a stealthy posture, a calculative mind and for the previous, the ability to deal off with undesired obstacles.
Title: Re: [GUILD]The Imperial Intelligence Agency
Post by: Nurahk on March 11, 2007, 03:38:56 pm
There have been a few changes recently.

-Smokes now have the ability to chose whether or not to be public members.  Smokes who chose to be public members will be considered for Glow, for now, due to the Smoke Glow position being vacant.  Others who chose to be public may decide to multiguild with the Imperial Guard.  If this is the case they must chose whether to be mainly Smoke or mainly Imperial Guardsmen (The latter is encouraged).

-Envoys, a new rank within the Shadow Force, will be in control of diplomatic practicing for the near future.  The Empire has plans to change this, I'll say no more about it but, if you wish to be an Envoy be prepared to be moved around in the not too distant future.

-There are Glow positions vacant, as stated above the Smoke position is one of them and the Shadow position is the other.  In order to be a Glow you need to have strong organizational and leadership skills, being creative and being talented in field to which you are Glow are also a must.  Anybody who wishes to apply for Glow should first apply for one of the sections with vacant Glow positions (Smoke or Shadow) and then PM me and state your interest.

-As many of you know, Sangaw and Garile recently tied the knot (Good job, guys!  And Garile, it never would have worked between us, I'm sorry).  Myself and the rest of the Shadow Force would be ashamed if we made Garile do any work during this happy period and so, she is completely exempt from all responsabilities for the next little while.  It's a joyous time and I'll not have her spend it planning assassinations ;)

-As you can see the leadership of the IIA has been changing as of late, we have lost Jekkar and Ecuetas and, though they both have the ability to return to the IIA once certain conditions are met, they will never again assume the position of Glow.  But, not all is bad news!  We have found ourselves a new Glow.  She has thus far proven herself to be not only intelligent, sensible and more than capable but also to be motivated and hard-working to a point I can not even dream of!  I'd like to congratulate Vexonee, the new Glow, officialy of the Envoys but, she will be assuming responsability (Alongside myself) of the Shadows, Smokes and Shades(Until Garile returns to active duty).

There have been many changes and, will no doubt be many more as Vexonee assumes power.  It is an interesting time for the Imperial Intelligence Agency and I invite you to join in it.  There are vacancies in all positions though we are currently looking mainly for Envoys.  Shades and Smokes could also use more members and Shadows, though there are always vacancies, seem to be well populated.  I will be updated the first post presently to reflect the latest changes.

Thank you all and I look forward to some interesting Roleplay in the near future.

At this time there are a lot of changes, as is usual in the IIA it seems.  For atleast the foreseeable future, one should talk to Vexonee about dealings, whether they be recruitment or other affairs.

I will be, for the most part, unavailable.
