??? Suddenly I get a message that I was "botting" and excluded for a month. The owners do what they want and I do enjoy what I was able to do so no problem but at least place the situation at neutral and let me reimburse the money borrowed to another avatar.

Botting is considered as cheating and will be punished with bans.
That fact is clearly stated in the Players Policy (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=21538.0) - Haven't you read it?

Wait.... so you cheated, and you got caught, and now you want a compromise in the form of getting back the money you made by cheating? Doesn't that seem more than a little absurd to you?

So you're saying that you weren't botting? Take it up with a GM on irc, channel #planeshift-gmtalk.

I can tell you my current way for checking Bots, but will not reveal all details.
When i suspect someone is running a script, when i am near him, i do the following things:
I watch the player for some time, to see if i can find a sequence of repeating actions.
Besides that i look if a player is dropping loot around him.
I start talking to the player in charge with Tells, to explain that i am checking him and want him to respond back to me.
When i don't get a response from the player, i send him a warning to read his Tells.
A warning is a red message onscreen and in all chattabs, so no one can miss it, when the person is behind the PC.
If the person is still not responding to me, i appear visible in front of the person and i start talking with him publically in main chat.
I tell to the person, that he/she has got about a minut to repsond back to me, or i will deal with him/her as a cheater, who is running a script.
From that point i strip the inventory from a player and ban him/her for 30 days, at the first time only, when i catch a player.
My whole way of checking, looting and banning a person takes about 5-15 minuts, because i have to remove everything manually.
All this time the player can respond back to me.
So if i completed all steps, i am sure, that i have dealt with someone who was cheating.

Once there was a discussion about leaving the character and going AFK. The char will aout attack the monsters atacking him and thus getting exp without being at comp. But i can't imagine how to loot too in such situation. I gues when he was caught doing that, he was cheating.

the Auto-attack of NPC's is only activated, when you are in a certain range from an NPC.
When you are next to the NPC (within 1 meter) the auto-attack will not be activated.
Nearly every player who is caught recent with scripting, while he/she is fighting, was within the range of 1 meter.
The player, that i caught today, was within the range of 1 meter too.
The player ignored my Tell's, Warning, appearing visible and talking public (in main chat) to him/her and did not respond back for 7 minuts, while the person remained fighting, till i took away the controls from the player by freezing him/her.
The player already dropped 5 weapons around him/her on the floor and had a full inventory with nearly only weapons in it.
This player got a ban for 30 days from me, because it was the 1st time.

Your system, In my opinion, Is perfect and works very well.
I don't think he really has any sort of comment, because if he truly wasn't botting he would have noticed the Gm screaming at him.
This seems like a very fair system to me and Zanzibar is right, don't cheat!

Sort of sucks if you borrowed the money from another player and not just from an alt (which is what it sounded like). But anyway, it isnt the GMs fault that you lost the money you needed to pay back and got banned, its entirely your fault. dont cheat and it wont happen.
