Title: problems with smelting
Post by: izzuhmeh on November 17, 2006, 06:30:24 pm
Hello people ive got some issues with smelting.
The problem is i cant smelt my iron.
So i began asking people what to do.
Someone told me to get skill of metallurgy.
So i trained my yellow bar to green but still had'nt skill.
So I read the tutorial again and it said i needed to 30% learn 70% practise.
So i began putting iron in the smelter.
But later i only had some piles of dust and no skill improvements please help.
Maybe im just not understanding skiling but im sure im only losing more irons this way.

When you practice, your skill still hasn't reached the next "level" yet - so perhaps practice with another ore that you know you can already work with?

If you've already tried iron without much success, what about gold?

To practice metallurgy you need to keep a book in mind. Ask Harnquist and he will give you a quest for the book. Then try again with iron. About smelting gold, it is not possible yet, you can only smelt silver and cast it to ingots and this at max metallurgy lvl.
Good luck!
