uhhh i use fragnetics server and since it is no longer available i was wonering how to use another server.

there is currently only one server. So you have to wait for it to come back up. :)

I have same problems. But servers is up! there is good ping and some ports are open at this server.
But not PlaneShift's port.

And there are no message in news

How long should I wait?

Look again, there IS a message in news.
Always look for news here: www.planeshift.it

The server is being updated:

That page is currently only used for server stats, so no.
A new portal where news can be made public more blog-wise will be available soon.
