Title: Spell Animation
Post by: Xylaal on November 24, 2006, 05:49:02 am
If I cast Freeze spell or Flame burst, there is no animation accompaniment...the cloud or the trail of flames are gone but the damage still happens - the spelll itself does work. Did anyone notice this? Is it just me?

I think I have read in another thread something similar happening to somebody else.

yes its weird because now you have to pay attention to know when the spell is actually done casting

Here too, it seems. Not all spells show up.

Must have been me asking you in #planeshift-build if I should add something this noticeable to the bugtracker when there were much more important bugs being added every minute :) Took a while for others to start mentioning it.

I mentioned it in #planeshift-build about 30min after the .017 was released... couldn't it easily be fixed via updater?

The effects system got pretty much rewritten this update, and we didn't have time to fix all the effects. Will be done for next update.

I thought that might be  a reason :) Great job on the ones that were finished anyway :)
