Can anyone tell me how many quests there are currently? I have completed at least 34 quests.
-
about 37 I think, not sure
-
tut tut tut, the answer is you have to find out for yourself. :)
-
37, Holy cow!!! I'm still stuck on doing one quest... Oh well thats my fault for having such bad grammar... :@#\
And also rather just talk to people :detective:

Don't beat yourself up over this. I have impeccable grammar and have passed a single quest due to the fact that the NPC's grammar is far, far worse than mine.

The only quests I do come from real players, not npc's. As such, the number of quests is unlimited.

"And haven't passes a single quest" is what I think you are trying to say.
Perhaps, not quite so impeccable? :P
-
I think he means he has done one, not none, although "passed" is an odd way of putting it.
-
Bilbous is right, although I admit it does sound odd. I said my grammar was impeccable, not normal.

The Quest wordings has been discussed once or twice in the past, and it is accepted they are far from perfect. Many have expressed the desire to have them all re-written, and it comes down to the same issue that most things about the game does. Manpower, time and the approval system. IMHO the best way to correct the Quest's grammatical problems, is to have someone, such as Phinehas or others with 'impeccable grammer' to re-write the Quests and submit them to the appropriate Dev. This way, once approved, the Devs can replace the old text with the new when time permits.
just my two tria :)

Well... just a sidenote, all be it the quests aren't flawless, not even close, they still provide me with good fun. It;s your creativity that binds you, try solving their weird behaviour by looking at a quest as you would to any other RP part of the game, live the story. Also, the quests have become more and the variety increases as we speak.
Please remember, writing them is tough. Making up a story is something not anyone can do, and of all those that can, there is only a handfl that can make a logical quest out of them, let alone think of possible replies and questions that all need an answer. The quest creation requires some skill, even for the versions we have so far. In time, quests will improve, and the NPC dialogues as well, as shown with the last update.

I Understand completly Proglin, I was not trying to imply it was an easy task to create or implement quests. My suggestion was in regards to the Quests we have now, and having them reworded only. Every writter that has published anything has a proof reader, and that is what I am talking about, not remaking or creating the Quests. This is the same issue of another thread regarding Laanx and the history of Yliakum, (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=26526.msg298514#msg298514) Simple grammatical errors and discrepancies.

37? As I get close to completing all of them, they keep adding more. :)
Ah well, that's ok. The more the merrier.
I don't have a problem solving them so much as getting some of them. A couple of npc's are not cooperating. For instance, I have gotten the Holy Script quest 25 times in a row now. *shakes fist at <you know who>*

there should be a counter in game that says how many quest you've done and how many times, just a suggestion.

There is, at least, it says what quests are solved, if you can count, you'll know how many quests that are exactely. Not how many times you solved them though, which would be surreal.
-
Yes it does say which quest you have done but if you take it again for whatever reason it goes from your done list and then if whatever reason you discard it then it is no longer in either list.
