Title: Pssetup and Psclient
Post by: Jephre on November 27, 2006, 09:13:44 pm
Hi guys,

I'm new and I HAVE read the guide to MacOSX.  I just finished updating everything with updater.jar, but when I tried to run pssetup and psclient, they both shut down immediately.

Note that this is after I opened Terminal and did the chmod 755 commands for all three apps.  So, what's going on?  Is it just because v 3.017 hasn't come out yet?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

well yes and no. If you came before the server upgrade began you would have had the same problem and would have had to download the java updater. Just sit bat and wait for the guys to finish on the new Mac OSX client.  :beta:

Run it under the administrator account, or double-check the permissions on those apps. Better yet, login as the administrator and reinstall from the torrent file. Even with the update not ready yet you should be able to launch the client and setup programs, just not connecting to servers or mirrors yet. Bear in mind you will have to download the new client whenever it is ready...

I've said before, new data files and old executables don't mix well. Please be patient while dfryer works on the new release. iLock.
