It's down, yes, it's getting a facelift:
I read that YouTube would be rolling out a number of “new and exciting features” over the next few months after collaboration with Googlers as a result from the recent acquisition. Looks like they are rolling out the first phase of that now.
What will it be? Google Integration? We’ll see.

Basically, i think they are going to be changing the look and feel of the site now that Google has the horns of this media giant.
The Web has always been missing a Media source.
That source my friends, has been filled by www.youtube.com. :thumbup:

I got one thing out of the original post: Google rules. But since we already knew that, I'm with everyone else on this...

Lol :lol: Well i thought it was important Youtube was down, i use it almost every day.
To see it down was VERy surprising, being that it's never been down before.
Anyways, Now you can get on Youtube by clicking on a video link, then surfing the site.
You cannot surf the site by going to youtube.com anymore.
The workaround isn't that bad though, if you don't have a youtube link, just click on one of my videos and SURF youtube away ;)

I have seen YouTube down at least six times in the last 6 months, regular mainanance and stuff.
It will be interesting how well the intergration with google will be in the end. Since the purchase of YouTube, its value has plumeted.

Actually, from the Link i gave, it specifies this is youtubes FIRST time going down, and i can lay claim to that as well personally.
You can do a search if you don't believe me, but yes, it was the first instance of the site going down.

Actually, from the Link i gave, it specifies this is youtubes FIRST time going down, and i can lay claim to that as well personally.
Maybe not for an extended time, but even though I use Youtube only very occasionally and only recently, I've witnessed two instances of "Youtube is down for maintenance" myself, which lasted for a few minutes at least. I haven't even noticed the outage that this thread is about. *shrug*
