Title: install error

I downloaded the Linux client from bittorrent went to install it it started installing and got an error on characters.zip asked to abort, retry, or ignore, did retry, didn't work did ignore, did it again on another file then I just gave up

I'm just asking if there is another way so I don't have to waste my time downloading it from a mirror and having that one possibly not work

I'm on Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) if that would make a difference

can you run:
"md5sum PlaneShift_CBV0.3.017.bin" in your console/terminal please?

If it's different to 894d599bb43838a57d8d45dd911a6bdd then you'll probably have to download again (mirror probably more reliable), as your download is corrupt/incomplete.

yeah, that was it, I did check data integrity and it found like 16 packets that were messed up and now it's redownloading those, hope I don't have to download it from a mirror

Try any of these three sites to download PlaneShift from:

http://www.psmirror.org/

http://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/games/planeshift/

...download speed is quite reasonable from any of them.

Note : The latest version of the Mac OS X Client isn't yet available, but once it is, these sites should soon have it uploaded.
