Hi!
I'm a old newbie to planeshift.. I had it and played the game pretty much a couple of months ago on my computer.. now i've got a new computer, a laptop.. download 0.3.17 and after some trouble with the updater (only art is updated now) I finally got into the game.. but I cannot play becuase when it's loaded I can walk a couple of steps and then it crashes.. I have also tried just with the installed 0.3.17 but the same thing happens..
When I start the client from a terminal this happens....

... and then the game is no more.. that text above is also in red so I guess that's the problem.. there are several errors and it seems to be missing files?
My computer is a acer with intel celeron m 1.46ghz, 1gb ram, ati radeon xpress 200m.. my distro is gentoo (used the same distro on my other comp which is now a fileserver) and I have the latest driver for ati (8.30.3-r1).. I'm using xorg 7.1..
Anyone got any ideas how I can play the game more than a couple of steps at a time? :P

I am not sure, but maybe you should search for library, meshfact
I think this could be grafik library?!
What for a Grafik card?
Maybe you should search in your Distri Forum for Help?

I use Linux every now and then, and had the same problem, you now how i fixed it? I installed a friendly labeled disk that said "Windows XP System Restore," and that took care of that...
