Me and a few friends plan to make a PS banking guild with loans, bonds, deposits, etc. Im sure someone's already tried this, but I plan to try anyway. If this guild was made, who here would be interested in using it, this way 20k goes to good use.

See, now if you'd scrolled down just before you clicked the "New Thread" button, you would have seen this (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=26323.0).

Yes Phinehas, this may be the first case of commercial competition in game. I hope it works, the Bank of Hydlaa conditions for loans are outrageous because they own a monopoly(Most real world banks don't ask for giving them your car as a guarantee).

Re-read their post. There's no way I'm entrusting these people with my money...

lol, did not see that, my banking system is not up yet, it will be, and i hope to provide friendly competition, no we are not going mafia style into this, just a banking system in our spare time, I am currently evaluating economic deals and prices, percentages, and all that confusing stuff. Anyway, I joined Planeshift because I like business, and a new economy means that coorperations have not yet developed, but they start now...
*edit*
have read the link provided and I think that its a load of bs. If I need a loan, why would i have 50% to pay first? I cant see them making anything. Besides, I may get ripped off, but its just a game and in this game, money flows like a river.

I think you may have to be more dedicated than just doing it in your spare time. It will take a lot of work.

Competition is never a bad thing, I would invest in whichever offers the best return on my savings, simple as that.
-
They may offer it but will they deliver? Your best going with the most trustworthy and established place.

ahhh, I should have pointed out that im not one who is willing to throw his hard mined cash a a start-up venture, hence I havent put cash in the other one yet until I hear some good reviews ;)
-
Heh, true. Not much choice at that stage though and its not my cash ;)
-

True but rushing into financial agreements is only done by the extremely wealthy or the extremely daft. :P
-
