Title: help can not see path in death realm

hi
I am new in PlaneShift & have problem. I fall through crack in floor & died. Now i am in Death Realm.
The big problem is i can not see path (can not see stairs & platforms). I can see people run here but they move on black area. I try to follow but i fall again & die.
I know that it has to be dark here, but i think that i shoud see where i step (normal floor or abyss).
Is there possibility to see the way where i can move.

maybe it is noob question, but i am noob, it is problem for me & i need help

ps. i was trying "relight map" in pssetup, but it stops on "loading map" ..... & no further progres

Hiya!

First concerning the -relight option, it can take a really really long time to relight a map. An hour, perhaps several. That's why you shouldn't start PS with -relight all the time, but do it once and then remove the command.

If that doesn't help, you can try adding -fullbright instead of relight. It eliminates shadows, and therefore has a chance of helping. My guess though would be that -relight will do the trick if you let it finish :]

thx Karyuu. I will be patient about relight, but if you can type letter by letter how to use "-fullbright" command (not everyone if familiar with computer  :( )

It's the same way you are using -relight :] To do so, right-click on your PlaneShift shortcut, and in the target line, type:

Why don't we have a death realm sticky in this section. Thread title: DO NOT CREATE A THREAD ON THE DEATH REALM! READ THIS FIRST!
It could basically explain all the problems (and pseudo problems) people have in the death realm and explain how to solve them (like the fullbright thing.) This way if somebody didn't see the sticky they could just be redirected and if they did, well, they just don't need to make a thread at all :sorcerer:
