I've got a problem loading the actual game. After i've created the character, i start loading the world. Then the program just closes. There is no error message, it just closes.
Please help me fix this problem.

What Operating system are you running (Windows XP, Linux, etc..)
And what are your computer specs (Video Card, RAM and Processor)
-
I to am having a problem it is crashing my system when i am trying to stary the game.
I updated my video drivers, my video card is an NVEDIA GeForce FX5500 with 256 Meg vedio.
I am running Windows xp Pro and i have 1GiG of ram.
I also ran the updater to see if that was the problem that did not fix it.
I would appreciate any help in this problem.
Thanks Geza

Crashing your entire system, not just the PlaneShift client? Does this happen with any other intensive application you have been running? Just in case, check for overheating..
-
i've had that happen before to me with the my new graphics card and before i got it stable was to make my ram go at a lower speed and turn of fast writes, as i don't have that in my bios i need to use rivatuner to turn it of

Video card RAM or System RAM, just to clarify?

I don't know about Windows Client, but isn't there a log folder, into game folder??
(like C:\Program Files\Planeshift\log)
Are there some log files about errors?
-
Sorry the only logs in PS is for the chat info and tracking.
the last time i tried it actually coused a memory dump and rebooted my system.
i ran diags on my system and found no errors.
i am still leaning twards a driver or config errer with the PS prog.
Still lost but thanks for trying

what version of the nvidia drivers do you have by the way?
-
6.14.10.9371 this is the version that is listed in the settings.
-
Try updating the drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp), in that case.
-
Karyuu that is the newest official once and they work much beter on my card than any older driver tho i've seen there is a official beta but well beta+drivers don't always work together :sweatdrop:
-
The newest was released on November 2, so I suppose anything close should work as well.. :) Thanks Elvi.
Geza, have you tried running PlaneShift with -console? Right-click on your PS shortcut and add that into the target line, with a space between it and what's already there.
-
updated the drivers and tried it and it crashed then i tried with the - console at the end of the target and it crached again this all started after i used the updater ??? ??? ???
