Hi to all.
I'm playing to PS from a couple of months, and I've always found very kind people ( :)). But today I got a very, very very, very bad situation ( :-\). A new entry in our guild has invited a new entry, Namefad is the name.
This guy, french, as started to write in french in the guild chat. That's not the problem. The problem is he insulted us, the guild and its members ( :(). He was saying:
"You guild is stupid"
"You are stupid"
"Band del cul" (not really french, a little italianazied, "band of my ass")
"I don't speak with stupid people" (refferring to us)
:o
He write dozen and dozen of phrases like that, in french and some in english. Because no guild leader was online, nobody could ban him... I've just used the /report command, hopefully registering the guild chat. I have done three registrations, personally... and I tried to ignore him (and i was muted, i don't know why... due a bug?).
Because the guild is very new, we have a lot of new members... What do you think GMs? I think these new members won't be connected again. And it's so sad.
Now I ask for justice: I want him banned ( :@#\), with his account and the relative characters (if more than one) ().
What do you think? How I could defend my guild and its members from disbusting person like Namefad?
I hope some GMs understand this situation, and make some action ( :ban:).

You could always E-mail your leader and tell him of the problems in the guild.

*Matt, with a tiny wizard on his shoulder.*
I'm not a GM, however, I'm guessing that if you reported him that would be enough and there's no particular reason to start a thread in the forums. However, since you have, I'm going to suggest a little home remedy for this sort of situation.
Don't mass recruit.

Oh... I forgot: he has left the guild. I think he's planning to come in other guilds... :ban:

The advice still stands, any guild with even a mild screening process should be able to keep out jerks like this. It's really not that hard if you're not so desperate for members that you just invite anyone who seems vaguely alright.

The forum is not an appropriate place for such topics.
*edit*
Damned conscience telling me to elucidate :) Posting threads on the forum to "ask for bans" is not allowed. Not only is it a silly idea, it makes you look really bad when the reasons you present are nowhere near bad enough to warrant a ban in the first place. As far as I'm concerned, childish name-callers aren't banning material, unless profanity becomes involved.
Phinehas gave a brilliant idea - don't let in just anyone you see. Get to know them first. Ask them how they would fit your guild, and what they hope to learn and to give back. That's how you prevent bad members, by talking to them for a select period of time before they are invited in. This is the procedure all guilds of high quality use, and for a good reason - it works.
Next time if you need to contact a GM somehow, please turn to IRC. Server freenode, channel #planeshift-gmtalk. Or check the Game Master (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=23067.0) list and send any one of them a PM.
