Title: Death of a Wizard

Phinehas walked home, tired after yet another depressing evening at Kada's, surrounded by memories of old friends. He was beginning to think perhaps it would be better if he spent less time there, as each evening that none of his old friends showed up was one more step towards absolute withdrawal. Of course, there wasn't really any place to go, and he needed a break from his constant studies.

These were the thoughts going through his head as he shuffled along to the Ashes guildhouse. Once there, he reached into his robes and pulled out an old, rusted key. With some difficulty he managed to unlock the front door and step inside, panting and leaning heavily on his cane. He paused there, looking around him, surrounded by memories of his friends. He sighed, thinking that he was a relic of days gone past, even at his young age.

Suddenly, his face contorted with pain as the magic wracked his body again and again. He stiffened at the agony, as he had so many times, and quickly rustled around in his robes for the vial of purple liquid that brought the pain back down to a bearable level. He pulled the stopper out of the vial and quickly put a few drops on his tongue, sighing in anticipation of the relief to come.

The relief never came, however. The pain grew and grew, and Phinehas began to gasp in agony. Suddenly, he realized that this was it. His race against the magic in his body was over. He had lost. He hadn't found a way to divert it in time, and now it was going to kill him. He stumbled forward in blind agony as another surge of pain hit him. He smiled slightly, thinking how ironic it was that the very thing that set him apart from the other wizards, the very thing that promised him immortality should be the thing to kill him. His blessing and his curse, he thought as he collapsed to the floor, dead.

It had been days since Sangwa laid eyes on his friend.

That was quite strange. They would gather everyday to discuss on Imperial issues, now that Phinehas was the Empire's Arcane Overlord.
Worried about Phinehas and his duties, Sangwa contacted an old acquaintance of his to examine into this strange absence.

Days later, as Sangwa was in the magic garden tending to his work, the contact arrived. His suffering, red eyes spoke before words could, of what he had contemplated. A roar of silence absorbed every sound around, like a loud shout would.
The enkidukai looked blankly at the sky, sighed and nodded at the dermorian that had brought such vile news. Both made their way to where the Ashes could once be found... For a proper farewell.

Hyuken scratched his head and sniffed the air of the tavern he rarely left. Something was amiss, but he could not put his finger on it. Somehow, the world suddenly felt a little smaller.

Coming back from listening to the whispers of the Hydlaa folk in the tavern Restound goes back to the guild headquarters.

Having spread the news of the death of an influential hydlaa notable he assembles his members quickly to the Hydlaa squre.*

Each member now around the Fountain making a link in rememberance of a great man

All lower their heads and toss some tria into the fountain

Resound raises his voice over the silence:
"May you be rewarded for everything you did Phineas and forgiven for any mistakes that might have occured.

The Elemental light Salute you"


After waiting for an hour in remembrance of the great man, the guild slowly heads back to it's headquarters, with Restound trailing slowly behind*

He whispers:
"Twas a great man"

The night was mild. A warm light hardly radiated by The Crystal, was bathing the waterfalls, leaving reflexes like diamonds sparkles.
Eagel takes a fish, and prepared to eat. Since He left Ojaveda to find his parents, he was alone, near the waterfalls.
A breif tremor and a flash of pain seems to tense the Azure Sun. Some rocks from the top of the waterfall falls deafeningly to the bottom.
Eagel keeps quiet, waiting, watching that amazing show.
Suddenly the waterfall roar silenced and was notorious, all the region seemed cry.
"Phinehas is dying" feel Eagel. "His aura is vanishing.... No, not Phinehas!" whispered, while closes his eyes.
He put his head down, cross his arms and recited a prayer for Phinehas' soul.
The crystal pulsed one more time and stopped at the same moment that Phinehas' heart.

Peacer opens his eyes deep inside his meditation as he feels phinehas' aura getting weaker and weaker. He stands up and looks blindly into a wall where phinehas' aura seemed to come from. Shortly after he didn't feel it anymore and lowered his head.
