When i start out to create my own custem path thingie or w/e whats best for a warlock? and what stats do they need most wisdom int?? i'm TOTTALLY LOST!! "screams help me"
-
We have no warlocks here. That being said, INT and CHA help for certain magic ways. There are six ways of magic. But there are no "classes" like you have in other games. A character is free to do anything that they have the basic skills and stats for. It is much more open-ended than other systems, and much better IMHO. Otherwise, try starting with basics: http://www.planeshift.it/quickguide.html

well, what do yu mean by warlock? what type of skills do you want to have?...eldoth was right though intelligence and charisma along with magic ways would be good
-
warlock's are often bound to some spirit or diety
In ps this can be accomplished through rp and back story, i would shoot for laanx or blackflame if i were you.
read all the history and find your niche based on this.
Good luck and welcome to ps

The "Path" button at the character creation screen is an outdated option nobody ever really mentions. I think it's something the Devs once tried and forgot to remove completely or maybe some day still want to implement correctly.
Either way I suggest you use the other custom system where you set up your character's history in detail. This system will give your character actual skills and some different stats to start out with, where as the "path" system won't change your character from the very basic race-specific stats with no skills.
Either way once you are in game you are free to do whatever you want with your character. You have no restrictions and can train any stat or skills available. More importantly is that you develop your character's personality and their background story though. Skills and stats will come as you play and learn.

Well i didn't know that we could max out all stats anyways near the end and that i wouldn't beable to afford spells that cost 1000trai's anyways!!! now because i put all my points into making my spells stronger and having no str i can't even kill rats easly lol i'v gotta have my rl best friend help me :( and spells don't even work lol i got a fire glyph and it wouldn't research at all :( so ima make a new char i'm thinking of a kryan rock monster for their 93str :P

It's hard being a wizard, but we manage.
Soon things will change for the better.

You do know this game focusses more on Role-playing (i.e. playing the role of your character) than mindless hack & slash, right? If you're basing your characters on how well you can string out rats, then you might be playing the wrong game...
-
Lol I just wanted to be a spell caster so i could cast spells becuase if i am gonna play a rp game i'd like to be a wizard xD I wanna make others feel the destructive power of a great wizard and how much a great wizard can help but i'm more of a destruction freak luvin to put "dots" on monsters and make them die slow and painfully xD i know i'm a sick freak lmfao

You might be slightly disappointed with the current state of magic in PlaneShift, then :P It's not as powerful as it should be, but we're fixing that.

Nothing a bit of good role-playing can't fix, though :P
Remember, your magic isn't limited to the battlefield...
(Edit: Well, technically it is, lol. Unless you roleplay, of course... ;) )

Train crystal way. Obtain an arrow and an energy glyph. Join a guild with an interest in magic and ask for trade secrets.
